how does this work in a lock? all mine seems to do is move up and then down when i push the lever thing.

@fridaysnewspaper You want it to quickly tap the pins so that the energy is transfered to the top pins like a billiard ball, separating them, allowing cylinder to turn.

You can find animations of how it works with a google image search for "lock bumping, bump key or lockpick gun animation" they all work on the same principal.

its good on padlocks a filed the back into diamond shape so it can be used as a pick as well
