  • I like the way you ran the exhaust away from the heads. I can't stand the exhaust systems that run right up under the head. I bet you saved some heat transfer with this setup. Nice job with the VW logo as well! I'm doing a 2287, which is 92 x 86 with CB Performance fuel injection and a turbo with off-road exhaust that routes the exhaust out away from the head.

  • HI sounds great!! but you are brave setting that on a barrel like that and running it, no way would i do that! but it is nice!

  • yee haaa.....looks good, love the idea of type 3 cooling, keeps the turbo install simple hey.

    should run well (S.U carbs work well for off road!), we had turbo with S.U on wasser boxer engine, ran thousands of race miles, no dramas!

    Sadly the Off-roader this was going in got sold. For now it's being converted back to Type 1 non turbo and going into a 66 Splitty Crew Cab, maybe turbo again later.
