If both animals are healthy and act smart, I don't think either one can kill the other. (a pack of hyenas can kill a weakened adult male, just as a single alpha male in the prime of strength can mess up a pack of hyenas... similarly in a bear vs tiger fight, there is more to it than just species. You may also try imagining mr bean being attacked by a german shepherd. Then imagine mike tyson at theheight of his career delivering a punch to the same dog.

Well there are lots of cases of both killing eachother. But Tigers only kill cubs or young and small Bears in hybernation. He will not attack a fully grown Brown Bear. Bears have killed a number of fully grown male Tigers, often after Bear will take away Tigers food. Only the large male Tigers might sometimes try to fight to keep its food. Therefore some of them get killed. That happen if against large male Bears that are determened to take away the food.
