This is amazing! I'm from Argentina and i also ride a bicycle every day, to go to my job, my school. My Constitution is based on the United States Constitution, of freedom and guaranties for the every one. I can´t believe this is happening, is impossible that the economic interested be on top of the people.

@boskejug that and the simple fact that the majority are fat people and cant ride bikes, either cause they break em or cause they cant drive for long..... they envy that slim biker that aint paying a cent for gas, is getting in shape AND is getting there in less time than fat people on cars, i agree with you on that about oil but i think its a mix of LOTS of things thatproduce this envy...

I live in houston, and in houston the police actually sponsor bike ride closing down the streets of downtown for more than 1000 cyclist to come and enjoy a midnight ride. it is beautiful it is amazing. yet new york just didn't get the memo

How is it 'parading' without a licence? There are hundreds of cars routinely cruising (parading) up and down, making a lot of noise, spewing poison gas and frequently obstructing traffic. Why then are their occupants not stopped, pulled forcefully from their cars, arrested, taken to jail and have their cars impounded? Where's their parade permit? Cyclists ride the same streets in comparable numbers for a day or two and are criminalized? There's something wrong with this picture.
