@skierjoey Smith did not ruin Zenyattas legend. She is still perfect 20 for 20 in my heart and millions of others hearts. She was the true champ. in the classic of 2010. She showed the most heart and she showed those boys again what she can do. Smith did an excelent job with her!
Your completely right. It wasn't his fault at all. She wasn't sed to real dirt in her face. But the ammount opf ground she closed was amazing! Close, but no cigar.

He had her going 19 for 19. So much can happen but he didnt allow anything bad to stop them from loosing. Thats what is amazing is the dirt was a new surface, brand new track, running against the boys (again) in one of the toughest classic fields and she only lost by a nose. She covered up so much ground. She no cigar

I'm not going to get in an argument with you about Rachel Alexandra not being 'perfect' or lasting as long as Zenyatta did, but what that filly accomplished was more impressive than any of Zenyatta's single seasons. When Rachel was 3 she was dominating every class, older,younger, and her age. When Zenyatta was 3, she was relaxing in her stall, or playing in the pasture. She only had 2 races as a 3 year-old. As opposed to Rachels stunning 8.

Plus the 3 year olds and older males last year werent anywhere as close as good as the 2010 colts. You had Lucky, Blame, QR, Fly Down, Paddy, etc. I still like rachel but if she was that great then why dont they run her in the BCC? (Yes it was synthetic but who cares) Zenyatta could win on dirt, synthetic, pro ride, etc.
Rachel A's owners where so appauled by her limitless talent, they forgot what she was. A 3 yo. filly. After the Woodward she was exhausted, and when they gave her a well deserved break they didn't condition her. Which resulted in her first two losses by the time of the Fleur Des Lis, she was getting back into shape. But when the Personal Enign came, she had to face one of the greatest mares of the year. She was swallowed up by a stretch duel.

Well they kinda do cuz The Jockeys Helps The Horse Go for a win instead of the running to frist position and burn out all there engery Jockeys Do Alot
It is great you post horse racing highlights, but please, it is not necessary to cut away to people in the stands every one second or to the horses feet. Most people have a longer attention span than you think. The race is most exciting if you can actually see it just as it happens. Hyping it up with over editing and bogus camera angles ruins it.
