Beating down the captains with hypnosis is like frying ants with a magnifying glass, slower than just stepping on them but it was probably just more entertaining for him to do it that way.

@TheEvilmoopman Not exactly, he hasn't used his bankai for example. He didn't even use shikai vs Isshin. They are always gangbeating him so it's hard to tell who would win 1 vs 1 without hypnosis. The only one that can be arguably stronger without any hypnosis in a fair fight is maybe Isshin, since it was actually 1 vs 1.

And btw, Aizen isn't the only person in the story that benefitted from the "you know what". (In fact pretty much everyone has)
