  • you don't even know how to type

  • imagine how pissed off you would be, spending all that time building it and for it to spend eternity and the bottom of the ocean. If they were here now, they would see that they built a legend

  • whats the rotating thing at 2:41 ???

  • @mathy906 i think it might be a turbine.

  • amazing

  • Such a dangerous job to do

  • muito bom mesmo

  • The music goes perfectly with this.

  • OH THIS SONG IS FROM SPIRIT AWWW I KNOW THAT SONG ANYWHERE!

  • @shello700 ME TOO!!!!!

  • is this real? or just copy from movie clip?

  • @YeeYIpWai are you stupid? since when did they have colour cameras in 1909?

  • @coolakiIlen007 This isn't real, yes, but they most certainly did have color photography in 1909. Look up the Prudokin-Gorski photography exhibit and be amazed.

  • @2ndOfficerCHL Not like this they didn't. This is quite obviously new.

  • @DLPBurke Yes, this is clearly filmed recently. I was just making the point that color pictures have been around for longer than people sometimes think.

  • that was relly neat

  • To tell most people the truth Titanic was ahead for it's time. It had the latest 20th century technologies during it's time of building and construction. It even featured an elevator, and a more powerful telegraph engine. Titanic was also built for luxury and not for speed so also remember that too. The ship was ahead of it's time, but it was no match for the iceberg which brought her to her demise.

  • @America100000able built with steel of lesser quality as proved by american / canadian laboratories ( like saying bulkheads of glass colliding with ice ) , which made the liner sink in 2hrs 40mins . Ahead of its time x many aspects , but criminally engineered and builded yet in its basic structures.

To be fair that iceberg was the lesser guilty compared to the massive amount of arrogance, indifference x safety of passengers ,stupidity & ineptitude seen on board of titanic .....

  • @Trulyloyale 100% accurate analysis... Congrats....

  • @drummerhellas Eυχαριστώ ....but I just reported true facts , nothing else .

  • @Trulyloyale yes experts say they wouldnt build a ship with it 2day but at the time it was the best but criminally engineered ? dont talk shit yes not enough life boats but thats it prick

  • 3:52 i know the titanic is on the left but whats on the right

  • @TheGodzillarules It's the titanic's sister ship. The RMS Olympic

  • @fernandezjessep ah okay thanks

  • @TheGodzillarules on the left if you look close, it says Olympic

  • @TheGodzillarules That would be her sister ship the Olympic, she was the first of the three sister ships and the only one to survive past 1916. She served as an Atlantic steamer until her decommissioning in 1935. Parts of her interior decor still survive today.

  • is this the song from ''Spirit'' the movie about the horse?!?!?!

  • @TheBananaWazHer

    Yes it is.

  • ..

  • watch the movie here: /watch?v=Dc1FSbM6RKw

  • I know of the Great Eastern but my favorite vintage vessel is the warship USS Olympia which I toured a few times. If your on the East Coast and in the northeast its worth a visit, Spanish American war era

  • Its amazing that this ship was designed long before CAD and other technological advances

  • @cbohar84

See the SS Great Eastern designed by Brunel in 1854. That was really an engineering marvel at the time. 6 times larger than any other ship at the time, with its massive 19,000 tons and length of 211 meters (692 feet).

When the Titanic was build huge ocean liners made from steel was nothing new. The Titanic was just another step, and had it not sunk nobody would have remembered it, since bigger, faster and more advanced ocean liners were just around the corner.

  • @cbohar84

Here's another neat little design on the Great Eastern. It had double hulls, and it would have survived the huge gash made by the iceberg that sunk the Titanic.

    That's 50 years of progress...

Titanic was hardly an engineering marvel in 1912. Her rudder was archaic and based on designs in the early 1800's, and it was way too small for such a large ship (compare its size to the rudders of the Lusitania and Mauretania).

The Eiffel Tower is amazing. Titanic not so much. Face facts.

  • @McLarenMercedes

It's true, that it was Curland who was building state-of-the art ships, with better hulls and propulsion. Yet, it was proven time and again that Titanic's rudder was quite enough - after all Britannic demonstrated it live on the sea.

  • sad!!!

  • Really nice video quality, keeping mind camera tehnology 100 years ago.

  • @freemusicblogg I really hope you're joking and don't think this is actual footage from 98yrs ago...

  • @Starbuckfsd I'm serious. :)

  • @Starbuckfsd only the pictures were realy real

  • From what movie did u piece this video 2geather?

  • Can u just imagine standing next that beautiful ship? That must have been a breathtaking sight

  • @samispock A close friend of my Grandad worked on both Titanic, and Brittanic during their construction. He used to tell stories when I was a child about these 'Colossal Giants' and how beautiful they were!

  • In fact during the early parts of the video they were taking down old cranes to build new ones. The cranes at Harland and Wolff were too small for the construction of the Olympic and the Titanic so they had to be demolished. Once they were removed they had to set up the new cranes, and build the Titanic. It cost 7.5 million US dollars in 1912 which would be equal to 500 million US dollars today to build the Titanic. It took 5 years to build and sank in less then 3 hours.

  • 4:20 is ouch

  • all that work and money just lays at the bottom of the ocean

  • The inevitable fatal outcome is built into our modern world.

  • This is a really good interesting and untouched subject..... We have only seen films about the Titanic sailing. This is thoroughly good..

  • MEGA PROJECT !

  • are they actually building it ?

  • @notepia obviously,what kind of question is that -_-

  • i like soo much Titanic building

  • i remember this when it was on telly. shame i didn't record it. thanks!!

  • One of the most incredible things I've ever seen! Where did this come from?

  • @sabresforthecup ITV1 originally in 200? can't remember year. sorry

  • @johnjj111 I'm also British you gobby little shit head. where in 'ingerlund' are you boy?

  • @johnjj1111 wow, you got a great sence of humour & intelligent grasp of sinisism. Dick, maybe your american

  • @johnjj1111 no it was built in New York, white star line was run by irish american leprichauns boyo. America won ww2 on its own. g-d bless america

  • @flute4hire no it was bult in belfast get ur facts straight

  • 3:48 show that bow is fininshed,5:05 the Titanic hull is relaeased, and where is the stern?

  • 4:21 The Young Scott =/ 15 years...

  • where did this footage come from? Of course, I realize a lot of it is digitally produced, etc...but who was the talented individual to put all of this together?

  • this looks real

  • i was on that ship

  • in real live no one died building the Titanic good animation though

  • whats the name of the song at 5. 30 ?

  • WHY DOES IT SHOW OLYMPIC?!?!?!

  • @thedanielalan1 thats titanic...

  • @thedanielalan1 BECAUSE THE OLYMPIC WAS LAUNCHED FIRST. COULD YOU NOT SEE THE TITANIC STILL IN THE STOCKS?!?!? LIKE THIS IF YOU'RE AGAINST YELLING THROUGH TEXT. B[

  • @hauntedclipp OKAY sheesh

  • that is so true i feel very sorry for the the person who died

  • Awesome!!!!! wonderful music to the clips!

  • i made this video

  • bless all those people on that ship

  • I think rebuilding the Titanic would be slightly disrespectful. Fate would have that Titanic sank, and I believe it should remain that way. For survivor relatives and the actual structure. There won't really be another ship like her.

  • the movie is tat real?

  • @tessdebest

Nope it's a documentary called Titanic-The Birth of a Legend.

  • Whats this movie/documantary called?

  • @BrandonxT

    Titanic-The Birth of a Legend.

  • @BrandonxT Titanic - Birth Of A Legend Documentary :)

  • @WilliamsJakeTV Okay thanks :)

  • @BrandonxT No problem :)

  • could u tell me what the songs are for part 1 & 2?

  • @JoanJettforever

Part 1: Spirit "The Long Road Home" by Bryan Adams

Part 2: 1st soundtrack: Spirit "I Will Always Return" by Bryan Adams 2nd soundtrack: Angels by Robbie Williams 3rd soundtrack: Dante's Prayer by Loreena Mckenitt.

  • @benrocat1299

No ship is ever unsinkable. It might take longer to sink, but it's gonna sink. I shall never call a new Titanic unsinkable.

  • if and when someone builds the new titanic i hope to god that it RESEMBLES it in EVERY way....change the props and get a bigger rudder for one, and second and third class should be equally beautiful...and absolutely NO CAGING CLASSES. the third class cages are kinda how things are today.......but thats another story alltogether

  • @America100000able We cannot build another titanic 1500 people died and it cost $ 400 million to

build it.We don`t want another tragedy to happen.Do we?

  • welll yes but...we can put more life boats, but eny way how we..or where we will get 400 milion dollars????

  • @zukaang12

    Investors.

  • @America100000able

see titanic 2 then come back to me hey if they did make another titanic i hope they turn it in into a hotel or something id love to see what it was like i just wouldnt sail on it

  • that is the olimpic you can see the name at 5:00

  • is this a movie

  • Comment removed

  • THERE IS A NEW TITANIC ITS CALLED QUEEN MARY 2!!! LOL

  • Titanic sank 99 years ago tonight. An end of an era. Amazingly, it still holds our imagination.

The 20th Century began with a near universal European-American confidence in progress & civilization. The sinking was the 1st nail in a coffin that would bury our faith in a better future. World War 1 was a 2nd nail. More nails followed.

Their clothes, manners, & orderly conduct speak of easy grace & dignity. Dignity is easier when one's place is assured in a promising tomorrow.

  • @America100000able if a new titanic is built it will probably be cursed and end up sicking like its mother theres no point but i wonder what people will do next year for its 100th anniversary

  • @softcellrock

Gee do you really have to be such a pessimist. You are really ruining it for people here that are dreaming.

  • Long before welding machines

  • got i love the intro video!!!!!!!!

  • whats the music at the begining?

  • @ColumbiaAndHoodRiver Don't know, but it's from the album:

"Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" by Bryan Adams

  • @roelofjan1987

Actually the song is by Bryan Adams, and you are correct it's from the soundtrack of spirit, but the specific song is called The Long Road Back.

  • @roelofjan1987

that's an animated film about a horse

  • @roelofjan1987 where did you get all this footage????

  • @ColumbiaAndHoodRiver The music is called: The Long Road Back - Hans Zimmer

  • @ColumbiaAndHoodRiver The long road back by hans zimmer

  • @ColumbiaAndHoodRiver it call the long road back

  • @ColumbiaAndHoodRiver It's called "The long road back" :)

  • whoa why is the video so laggy? and did some of the workers die accidentaly while titanic was being built?

  • @NaziZombiefan82 Only two died, but that already is a heavy and unacceptable loss, especially for the families of the workers and their friends.

  • Did someone really fell during the construction of Titanic?

  • @BrandonxT no/nao/not/dont

  • Background music: Spirit :)

  • There is LIVE FILM footage at the Titanic exhibit, of the ship being made. That film, in and of itself, is history! It marks the infancy of moving film.

  • We should all gang up, plan, build, and launch a new Titanic.

  • @America100000able only if we had the money

  • @America100000able it can be nice but the real titanic is better

  • @America100000able and have its old architecture but the cabins will have modern tech like TVs, fridges, ovens, etc and they should be more roomy instead of the old 2 bunk bed crammed cabins.

  • @America100000able well you put the 1st 449,999,999.99 towards it and the rest of us with chip in with 1p

  • @America100000able no worries i plan on creating a cruse line and the Titanic 2 will be my house as well as the first ship i build.

  • @America100000able and then it sinks again!

  • @America100000able I doubt anyone would take the risk to name a ship titanic, plus such ships with unlucky names are normally steared away from. Like there will never be another HMS Hood

  • @America100000able I would never step foot on anything with that name

  • @America100000able if you have 5000+ labourers 150 million pounds then maybe it will work. But with modern economics, making this thip ecominicaly viable would be difficult.

  • Is ths from the movie

  • @blackstands

Nope it's from a documentary called "Titanic The Birth of a Legend"

  • sorry for saying this but laddys she be gawn in hmmm about 30 years bugs are eaten her up we should raise her fix her up and sail her sails agin all they need to do laddy is put 2 giant airbags put them under her inflate them and up they come with her

  • I wouldn't excactly blame them if they don't raise it because where are you going to find something to bring up a boat that when on its side( the boat's front balancing on its tip straight in the air ) being Bigger than the empire state building. Besides that, it's being covered in rust so much that the metal is literally rotting away an whoever touched it with their bare hands would get thousands of germs on whatever they touched it with. So yeah, it's kind of already too late to raise it.

  • work for nothing!Thats bad.People built the biggest ship in the world and only 4 days after her mayden voyage she sinks.Thats sooooo sad! ;(

  • wow buld titanic is hard

  • so sad at 4:21

  • so sad at 4:19

  • i started crying when i saw the movie becuz it`s said that rosie and her love felted in love than he died and all that people who died it`s so sad

  • oh and dont call me stupid anyone who posts a comment about me. its been scientificly proven that the titanic will be gone in 20 years

  • @ItsTommyAndLarry,

I agree but now its way to late. Its been proven that in 20 years the titanic will be a memory. the whole thing will be eaten by a rust and iron eating bacteria

  • or rather they didn't manage to raise it...they tried a couple times but had to put it back down cause it was breaking apart (or something like that)

  • it's a shame that after all these years they haven't tried to raise the titanic yet...she doesn't deserve to rot away under the ocean

  • @ciscokitty8 she's been down there so long that if they tried to pull it up, it'd fall apart because of the rotting and moss and everything

  • @ciscokitty8

We should not raise the Titanic from the ocean floor. I believe if we do she would only be a tourist magnet, and no one would care about the people that died that night. It's best left down there alone as a underwater memorial, and cemetery to the people who died, and who gave their lives to save others.

  • @America100000able sorry laddy she be gawn in 30 years or so so we should rais it

  • I relaised that this year will be a hundred years since Titanic's launch.

  • Building titanic is so dangerous can fall O.O"

  • There is going to be a titanic 2 at somepoint

  • @shrio120 that would ruin the movie, LEAVE THE FIRST ONE AS IT IS!

  • im affriad they wont they all promisted i no it word 4 word they said "She will never be replaced, she was mighty"

  • ...I did rebuild the Titanic (America100000able) out of match-sticks..I then floated it in the Bath...but it collided with me Rubber Duck and Sank to the bottom, breaking in two...which made me think...i should have taken the Duck out first..you live & learn..

  • Does anybody know if this is available on DVD?

  • This is an awsome documentary ! Thanks for uploading !!

  • Sorry to tell you guys, but during the time I was rewatching the video for the music the Titanic wouldn't be built in the same way she was in 1912. Many things on the old Titanic won't be standard for today's safety, and living conditions, and a new Titanic would look almost nothing like the old. A new Titanic would look very different from the old one. So it would be a disaspointment.

  • If they make a Titanic 2 they should make it EXACTLY the same as the one in 1912 just with minor changes with the water tight doors they should go as high until they touch the ceiling forget boilers though gas engines and the rudder bigger one more thing a memorial room for all who died on the first one but appearance interior design should all stay the same that would be the BEST ship ever and call it Titanic

  • The song is from Spirit a movie. The song is called "The Long Road Back" by Hans Zimmermen.

  • The first time you had this video posted, under your old name what was the name of the song? It was Celtic I believe.

  • dident they make olimypic and titanic sied by sied?

  • @eyesk8ter

Yes they did. The Olympic was laid first. However both ships were built side by side with Titanic being laid down later in Harland, and Wolff Shipyards which is in Belfast, Ireland. A sad thing I have to tell you people though is Harland, and Wolff no longer build ships. So if any new Titanic or Titanic like ship is ever built it won't be done by the original builders. Harland, and Wolff only build windmills. Most ships today are built in Aker Yards.

  • @America100000able when you said they only make windmills now my heart just imploded

  • Love the music used for this video!

  • She Was A Legend

  • Song is from "SPIRIT"

    Spirit Soundtrack - Expanded Score

    :))

  • hey how did u find this song on adioswap.i cant find any of the songs i like.

  • hope there will be titanic 2 someday it should looks like oasis of the seas but 5x larger than it

  • @Giratina386 they aren't

  • The Titanic was a great ship and dident deserve to sink.the sad thing was that poor ship was doomed when the layed down the first peice of steel.

  • one bad rivet and the whole assembly is toast.

  • I'm building Titanic model of cardboard... this video was my inspiration. I have build Titanic vith plates and glue peace by peace as they built real Titanic. first skeleton, then decks and plates. It is not 100% as original because I didnt have blueprints with true dimensions but it still looks like Titanic. I wish that someday, one man, with todays technology build real Titanic the same as it looks that day in history. Titanic is the most buitiful ship ever. sorry for my bad english...

  • It really is how wonderful how those men - with their own hands could built something so beautiful, so huge, words that can't be described; Titanic. It's sad how they don't make ships like this today. I'm hoping they would make another Titanic - with better equipments, but that could mean an insult for those who died when Titanic sank on April 15, 1912...

  • I heard they made a mistake building it that's why the sh
