  • why does Laurie ask whats a crumb coat in every video that includes a crumb coat???

  • the top part of the cake is crooked!!!

  • theres about 5 inches of frostingon that, i would never be able to each a piece of that. too sickly

  • It's like she says at the end: I'm Laurie galmount." she's like forcing us to remember her name! Like " I'm Laurie galmount" thinking in head " you'd better remember my name you bitches" and she did not even introduce the baker! That's rude!

Liv thanks you give my daughter big smile.

  • I love making cakes. I always make one every month!!!! But whenever I make one, I never bother with a crumb coat!! Though it may be useful, but I just can't be bothered, icing doesn't come cheap!

  • yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!

  • sugar cubes? are you serious?

  • i tried to do a cake. it was terrible, i started to put the frosting on and it was very slipery it slide down

  • Hummm WHAT A BLOODY CRUMB COAT!!!

  • They ask about the crumb coat in every video because you never know when a video will be the first in the series that someone sees.

  • I like how in every video the girl goes "what's a crumb coat?" she has a memory of a gold fish :P

  • is it just me or does that woman ask her what a crum coat is in every video?, would of though she would of got the jist of it by now

  • how many frostings do you need to make this princess castle cake??

  • I feel SOOO bad for the person who has to wash all the dishes

  • are all your frosting suitable for vegetarians?

  • @occasionbags It will vary on the frosting. Please contact our Consumer Services when you have a chance. They can be reached at 1-800-446-1898 between (7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. CT, weekdays).

  • If you press 9 Over and over it looks like Laurie is dancing lol

  • do you keep it in the fridge then take it out to apply the second coat? thanks

  • @prettyval After applying the first coat or the thin crumb coat frosting layer, refrigerate for 30 minutes, then the second coat of frosting can be applied easier without getting crumbs into it. Happy baking! :)

  • can you make a easy car my son b-day is come and he likes car help

  • @kylee2169 Hi! Yes, we have car cakes. Please go to bettycrocker[dot]com and search under "Little Car Cakes". Hope this helps! Sincerely, Cate

  • wow nice

  • she always cut the bread but i love how she dose it

  • can you double everything to make BIG castle?

  • @ATearWillShed Yep.

  • @ATearWillShed It would be difficult to make the castle taller because it probably wouldn't be stable. However, the castle could probably be doubled widthwise by using 13x9" size cakes on the first tier and then 8" squares for the second tier and then a last tier using 1/2 8" squares. Use double the amount of frosting to frost a bigger castle and double the amount of ice cream cones and decorations. Hope this helps!

  • i want that cake!!!!

  • ewwww this looks like a piece of bread with frosting, candy and sprrinkles on it that will give your kid diabetes and toot decay nasty people dont care about it!!!!!!!!

  • @westernmiddleschool1 Really? It's called BRUSHING YOUR TEETH... Learn about it. And I'm sure it will help CLEAN YOUR KID'S TEETH.... And it's for a 5 year old birthday, just one day. And I am 100% sure that you won't completely ruin your teeth and get diabeties from eating a piece of damn cake.

Maybe i'll atempt to tone it down a bit.

  • can we use caramal candys

  • This castle cake and your barbie cake, can you prepare them the day before you use them? Will they still taste and look the same? Put in freezer or fridge overnight?

    Thanks! Suzan

  • "What's a crumb coat"

    EVERY TIME.

  • these cakes are really fascinating

  • you could use small marshmallows instead of sugar cubes.

  • I swear you said 3 CAKES NOT 4!!

  • you can also make the sanding sugar o.o Get your regular sugar, be sure it's not too granulated, but not too soft (like powdered sugar), then get gel food colours of your choice, small plastic, clear bags. If you don't want to store it in the bags get containers too, but the bags are a must.

Get as much sugar as you want in a bag, then, depending on how concentrated you want your colour, add the gel. Close the bag and rub the sugar with the gel, till you get a homogeneous colour. That's it. ^^

  • "You can light then up and sing happy birthday"

Coz ur not gonna sing replay by it's are you?

  • The door knob looks cricked ):

  • how do you cut that cake? (into eatable pieces...)

  • @tali0812 I would first remove the ice cream cones and serve the top square, then cut the second layer into quarters and serve that, then cut the base into serving pieces as well. A cake like this is impressive on the table but the cutting of it is similar to a wedding cake (best done behind closed doors). I would start at the top and cut each layer in squares, working down to the bottom layer. You should be able to get about 30 servings from this cake. Hope this helps. Happy Baking! :)

  • mi si stanno cariando i denti...

  • i like is cake.

  • if i ate that whole thing i would go muy hyper!

  • good!

  • -betty crocker icing kinda tastes bad

-must get pretty annoying to repeat the same thing over agian for each cake they make

-But the cake does look pretty hard to make so i would give em credit

-at the end the girl only gets to say her name lol

  • putting it in the freezer so there aren't many crumbs? who eats cold cake? (unless its ice cream cake)

  • @EmilangeloHeartsTMNT

it warms up? and like a kid would care?

  • @Ambzelia89

lots of kids are very picky. and some people might want to enjoy their cake. just a thought.

  • the boys cake is waaaaaaaaay cooler

  • i like her cakes

  • why does she always ask what a crum coat is

  • i would love to make that kind of cake and eat it ^.^

  • thats.....AWSOME!!!!!!! i would like a purple cake!!

  • good cake.

  • wow, that sucked.

  • HOW LONG DO WE LEAVE IT IN THE FRIDGE WITH THE CRUMB COAT?

  • Betty I love your cake :) Pls tell me what kind of froasting is that coz I know there is a butter cream froasting and a royal icing, also in the market I see too many and I don't know which one to buy, also where can I buy the color for the froasting ?...Pls I need your help, I want to make this cake for this weekends. Thank you and blessings

  • @Nickytailor Please go to bettycrocker [dot] com and type in Castle Cake. It will lead you to the recipe. It will depend on what color you want the Castle. If you made a white frosting you could make it pink with a few drops of red food coloring. Hope this helps. Happy Baking! Sincerely, Cate

  • @BettyCrockerTV why is it that you are so sexist? I mean like every time you talk about "girl" stuff and "boy" stuff, when most girls like video games and horror just as much as boys!! :O

  • she could of use marshmellows instead sugar cubes

  • i wish she would stop asking what a frickn crumb coat is

  • what is the pink mass?

and can someone tell me from what exists?

  • You dont have to use sugar cubes u can always use something else and u can always make the cake smaller by making smaller sponge cakes

  • GREAT TIP: Tell all children to bring there own tooth brush to the party!!! they need to brush there teeth properly after eating sugar cubes.

  • GREAT TIP: Tell all children to bring there own tooth brush to the party!!! they need to brush there teeth properly after eating sugar cubes.

  • @markphilipcooper wouldn't it be better to do a flouride rinse imediately after comsuming that amount of sugar to prevent cavities? brushing would only create cavaties!

  • Why so much frosting? lol

  • What a great cake

  • i wuld like 2 c the blooperz on if liv dropped the cake when taking it out of the freezer. haha

  • That looks real!

  • thats a shit ton of frosting. for serious.

  • lol she asks whats a crumb coat in each one!

  • @xDuckiiesx she always ask's what a crumb coat is because some people might be watching this video for the first time, and may not know what a crumb coat is.

  • that looks good but to much frosting

  • @cmlollipop9 i agree,

  • imma make this one but not for eating, only for decorating my party...

  • i wonder what a crumb coat is.

  • @Katoop its meantiond in the video that a cumb coat is just a layer of frosting that seels crumbs befor the full icing process

  • @MegaMakeupPrincess I think she was being sarcastic...

  • @

    TheCrazyCakeArtistMM thanks for the tip

  • 1 tip 4 anyone wanting to make this cake do not put waffler cookies on the cake and then put the cake in the refrigerator the waffler cookie will come apart because of the cold of the refrigerator it happend to me with a different cake i did and you might want to put some support on the tiers if the cake is to tall in case your delivering it just to be on the safe side

  • @TheCrazyCakeArtistMM wow, thnx for the advice! im not going to make this cake for my self cuz im way too old for princesses anymore ( im 11 ) but this will be fabulous for future reference!

  • wen she puts the layer on top of another layer with frosting...how much frosting she puts scares me

  • Its not that much chill.

  • lol

  • people get so hoity toity at 'all that sugar' Yes its alot, but you wouldnt expect a child to eat alot of it, nor everyday, For a birthday (remember they come once a year!) if your lucky, then i dont think its to big a deal

  • i really like it i want to eat it

  • it looks like it is going to fall

  • she made me twice as hungry as now / DIABETES TYPE 2 ALL THE WAY . and she never showed how to ice the cake but sereusly who would make there child eat that cake come on SUGAR CUBES

  • she should've used marshmellows.

  • @kittygirlfight2 can you not hate so much? -_-

  • @kittygirlfight2

lol...you could take them off? common sense? maybe?

  • um fyi if ur diabetic i dont think you would be eating cake!!

  • its cut but too much candy it ruins the cake flavor

  • OKAY SO HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU LET A CHILD'S TEETH BITE THAT ? gumballs ?

sugar cubes ? >> DIABETES..how would you cut it ? geez..you'd have to take everything off first.

    LOL . nice.

  • love america,

here in stupid boring holland we can't buy all those decoratings in a grossery store.

    i wish i was born american :(

  • it's called ebay, they are sure to have those cooking supplies some where alfonstip

  • ok, it's beautiful but taste?

I think this is a cake without flavour, decoration in beautiful.. but.. take a look at italian cakes;)

  • I agree with you,TheAisa87.Instead of sandwiching the cakes with cream or something else, she just puts in more frosting!!!!!
