  • Hi, in that little song you played when showing the ukulele being out of tune, what were the chords? Job to see by looking at the hands.

  • @Nekroguitar Ain't She Sweet. C Gdim G7 cGdim G7 C E7 A7 D7 G7 C

  • This is BRILLIANT!!

Do youeed to file it? im afraid to, will it work if i just use the paperclip?

  • What's the first song that you played called???

  • is the ukulele easy to play? id really like to learn it but not sure if i have alot of patents

  • @TomorrowsVlog You don't really need to have patents. I haven't any myself. Patience is necessary with any instrument but if you want to learn a stringed instrument you can't beat the uke for a short learning curve.

  • Your cool

  • My cool what?

    lol... Thanks!

  • Oh man you make me laugh so much. :P

  • @jenmitz I'm glad to hear it. My wife thinks I'm a nerd... but she's the one that chose to shack up with me :-)

  • But hey, nerds are awesome, are they not? (:

  • We try. :-)

  • Nice video, it worked on my ukulele and I didn't even notice a problem before I tried... That's how bad I am XD

Just out of curiosity, what is that song that you play at 0:27?

  • I got a uke for christmas and the intonation was waay off on fretted notes as a result of high action so I sanded down the nut and saddle. Now intonation is better and I am very proud of myself :D

  • It is very satisfying. I'm glad you like it!

  • I know you know your stuff but why not just tighten the string? Haha. You're great!

  • Thanks!

If you tighten the string, the fretted notes will be too sharp and it'll sound awful. So you have to shorten the vibrating length of the string instead... I hope that explains it?

  • this paper clip is free.. i stole it from my job. hahaa :L

  • where can i get these ???

  • Ukuleles? Paperclips? Nail files?

  • Would I be able to learn this quickly when Im playing guitar?

  • @S1nn1ngSh4d0wS I learned in a couple months... and I'm an awful guitarist... So give it a try!

  • love the last bit "don't sue me, you won't win" hahaha your awsome.

  • Check out the tutorial I posted in the sidebar. Anyone can do it, there is no douchebag prerequisite.

  • i've gotta agree with todd. that's one fine sounding mahalo! cool video man!

  • gotta agree with todd. that's a fine sounding mahalo! cool video!

  • i don't know whether or not it's the strings or the work you did before the paper clip, but that's one of the best sounding mahalos both before and after the ghetto luthiery....cheers, Todd

  • that is a neat trick.. good job.. i am not so good yet that i know how to hear the notes like you do!

  • Thanks! I'm not that good either... just picky :-)

  • Very cool!

  • Thanks!

  • Hey, thanks!

I'm gonna try this on my cheap tenor...

  • I hope it works for you.

I also hope you'll read the thread I've linked to in the description before you try it... there's information there you should know before you get crazy with the glue!

  • A fine red-neck repair. I did this to a guitar with a chunk of chopstick. Quick, easy, and cheap way to go from painful to playable.

  • I doubted I was the first to think of this.

    Thanks!

  • Cool. It's a ghetto zero fret.
