THE INTRUDERS MADE THE ORIGINAL VERSION. THIS VERSION IS JAZZY NICE. IT APPEARS TIERRA LOVES SOUL R&B MUSIC. THEY ARE DOING THEIR THING ON THIS LIVE VERSION SINGING "TOGETHER AND I DO LOVE YOU. "
I went on tour with the ORIGINAL Tierra back in the early 80's, shortly after they had just released their hit "Together". It was one of the BEST experiences of my life.
Rudy/Steve Salas, Joey Guerra, Phillip M. (drummer), Mike (Vocals), Andre Baeza etc..The tour went all over Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Northern Califonia. It was GREAT times!!!
To this day, I still follow the group though the majority of the original members are no longer part of the group. They still sound GREAT!
I remember this song like summmertime when I spent it visiting my aunt I was like 10 or 11 yrs old I love how music just brings you back to that special place in time.
This song takes me back to Pacoima and san fernando,California. Those were the good old days, 30 yrs. ago. I live in Texas now, listening to Gorge Striaght.
I remember watching them on Soul Train, when "Together" came out in the early 80s and Don Cornelius gave them props stating that they had been kicking around for awhile. Basically he acknowledged that they had been working the clubs for a long time, paying their dues and finally got their big hit. I was in the service back then, and every club I went into was playing the song. Good times.
These Boys From Califas Are Just The Bomb!! Remind's Me Of The Green Eyed Girlfriend From The 7th & 8th Grade LOL Always Making Goo Goo Eyes At Me In Band. Sherie Where Are You Girl??
Did you hear? Tierra will be at the Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana on Sunday, Feb. 14, Valentines Night. Tickets on sale now. Dinner, dance and show. Take your main squeeze to that show. One long stemmed rose to the first 100 ladies provided by Drake Entertainment.

I play Latinjazz, blue and Soul ...I dream of playing this incredible music. This is music! Not the crap thats out there. For this music you actually had to sing great, be great musicians and have class.--ORALE!
quick question, who's the guy singing with the shades? I remember seeing Billy play alot at the HOP in West Covina...Mr Duran is bad ass, looks like Louie Moreno.haha..I went to Lincoln High school, same place where Avila went. Long Live La Raza....
I love the way Steve and Billy share the leads in this song. They're both great!! I saw them at Buffalo Bill's (on the California/Nevada border) last month (with War and El Chicano). Great show!!
Na, they neva split up! Matta of fact Joaquin Salas used to be my neighbor. He lived in Lincoln Heights but then moved to El Serreno! I used to date his son David!

Latinos and Italian Americans are the only people on this planet who can perform soul just as good as (and in some cases, better than) African Americans. I'm ready for anyone who wants to challenge my statement. God Bless African American,Latino and Italian soul brothers!
no one does it like the creators, never has been a Latino or Italian equal to Aretha, JB, Sam Cooke, Etta James, Al Green, Al Wilson, Dee Dee Warwick, Temptations, The Dells, Jackie Wilson, Isley Bros, Maxine Brown, Betty Everett, Barbara Lynn, Baby Washington, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Four Tops, Gladys Knight, Kim Weston, Dramatics, Billy Stewart, Anthony Hamilton, etc., great soul singing came from the Black church, not too many Latinos or Italians came through the black church.

In 1981 I was in basic, Fort Benning Ga. I volunteered to clean the office so I could listen to the radio. When I turned up the music Tierra came on, I was blown away it took me back to ELA for a minute. Never forget that.
Damn Rudy Salas is getting old. Billy Mondragon has bad ass vocals! These guys still put on a great shows and are cool to hang out with. See you guys @ "The Hop" again.
I also seen Tierra so much fun,Together baby ,I love you ,I love you I need you,I so love this song ,Thanks we always play this song at family gatherings.
As a young man stationed in Cali in the late 70's, I saw these guys and Tower of Power in concert. I am from Memphis and grew up on the music of Stax and Motown- this was a different sound altogether. Viva Tierra!!

dam...sorry to hear that about ur friend michael...i know how it hurts to lose a loved one,i have lost many ppl that i loved...but this song reminds me always of my wife..evn though i lost her and not in michael's manner..i still love her...
Tierra brings back the sweet moments in life when life was simple.. I have met the band twice, and i have to say that they are some of the most down-to-earth people i have met, and being in the industry, thats a rare thing...
This group is awesome and if I'm not mistaken, some of these talented cats were right up there with "Malo" & "Santana" in the 70s as the group "El Chicano"
I saw Tierra sing this at a park in San Fernando called Las Palmas Park and got their album. Aww the good old days when life was simple, Luv ya Tierra
Tierra still exists big time. Congratulations. Love your music & proud & honored to know that my brother used to play with your band years ago at the Mardi Gras Nite Club in L.A. on Wilshire as a back up bass guitar player. Love Ya Tierra
These boys opened the door for the Latino Musician, God Blessed the boy's with the Gift to touch the world with their Music!!! Love all these song's would listen to them in my 1966 Chevy Low Rider back in the day. Graduated in 1982 so this will tell you how old I am LOL.

Omg! I was a freshman in highschool when this song came out. Tierra is still sounding good.
I remember watching them perform "Together" on tv; I can't remember which program...it may have been American Bandstand but they were SEXY HOT!!!
If anyone has any old footage of them performing "Together" PLEASE post!;)

Tierra still exists big time. Congratulations. Love your music & proud & honored to know that my brother used to play with your band years ago at the Mardi Gras Nite Club in L.A. on Wilshire as a back up bass guitar player. Love Ya Tierra
