  • Awesome, great job!

  • ETA for marketplace?

  • @xxYetterxx "Soon" is all I can say at the moment, I'm afraid. But for everyone's patience, support and enthusiasm, I'm releasing a FREE PC version. I made that announcement + discussed new features earlier today. You can see the "PhoneZune is no more" post on my blog - keyboardp.me

  • Huge thanks to all the comments, it's much appreciated! I've released a new video showing the Voice Recognition Lab aspect of this app which you can watch (after watching this one of course ;) ) watch?v=kRy1cV7wSgA

  • Holy shit!

    I'm buying this app!!!!!

  • We are already in the future! o_o !

  • nice concept..! i wonder if you can say a few songs and play them all like a playlist.

  • @chrisyeoh Thanks. Yes, you can do that. This video is only showing one part of the entire app so there are going to be some more cool features :)

  • What speech api did you used on Wp7? Or you just send the voice sample to the cloud/server and no computing on the mobile side?

  • @AlwaresHUN Hi AlwaresHUM. I'm not going to be going into the technical side just yet, but I'll make an announcement on my blog/Twitter if I release the tutorial.

  • You're a Great! It works instantly & fine!

    Thanks for your effort!

Hope we'll see this App very soon on the marketplace (or everywhere else^^)

  • Awesome ! Need it on the French MarketPlace NOW ! :p

  • Man. That's amazing! Awesome work, dude, keep it on.

  • this is so awesome

  • Amazing!

  • HEY THIS IS SWEET!! did you use C++? and if so can i have the source file??

  • @tadisc C# and programming tutorial may be coming in the the near future.

  • Tutorial, that was amazing!!!!!!!

  • I want this!!!!!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHMAAAAAAAAAAAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! Please give a tutorial.

  • My jaw dropped during the entire vid. Amazing app. I must admit this encouraged me to buy a WP7 phone in the near future.

Will I be able to do the same with album or band names, or just with individual songs?

  • @MSMSValve I'm working on getting it to work with album, artists and songs. I want the whole experience (including Zune's Smart DJ), but with voice :)

  • @keyboardp7 Thanks for the response. Can't wait to use the final version. Good luck.

  • great job man, its awesome

  • Awsome

  • This is brilliant... Tutorial Please!!!!

  • Make an app out of it!!!

  • Just saw this on Endgadget, so far everyone's reaction has been epic/awesome over it. I just got myself a lumia 800, cant wait till this is released, definitly worth paying for!!!

  • Great work ! bless you

  • How do you control Zune ?

How do you access Zune database where it saves the meta data ?

  • @RicardoDawkins It's tricky to answer here, but I'll explain how it's done in a future tutorial I may create.

  • this is ... omg ... the best software ever ! but one question , with what connectivity that you're using to let the pc recognise the phone ? wifi is it ?

  • @TheBigboySid Yup, WiFi :) So if you're on the same network, you'll be able to control it.

  • Great work! Thanks for sharing.

  • Great app man, just wondering if your going to release the app for those of us with developer unlocked devices???

  • @ChunkyLoverFTW I have plans to release it to the marketplace. It's still a proof of concept and so there are improvements to be made. (As well as new features to be added),

  • I'd love to see how u did it! its amazing! way to go!

  • this is awesome

  • this was amazing. Please share a tutorial.

  • wow. i would love to see the tutorial videos

  • This ought to be integrated into Windows Phone Apollo/ Windows 8: Officially. I'm glad you posted this; perhaps Microsoft may pick up on it. Tutorial = yes please!

  • Definitely interested in a tutorial. I've never dove into Windows development before, but something like this intrigues me to do so :)

  • Windows voice reconition works.. but its missing the extras the phone part has. also add android support

  • Wow that looks fracking sick!!!

  • OMG! I can see this used in EVERY single home. Imagine just cooking food or exercising and you have your computer connected to home theater system and you have speakers from all rooms connected to computer/home theater system...well you can imagine the rest. PLEASE fine tune w/e you think is needed and release it as a open-source thing. It would be so cool.

  • This is great, good video and I like how you explain everything. I'd like to see a "how i did it" video as well. Video going full screen automatically is pretty cool too.

  • very interested in seeing tutorial

  • Would love to see a tutorial on this. Great work!

  • this is amazing. please release an app that looks polished and works well.

  • Amazing! Source code, please? :)

  • Fully sick mate. Please release this!

  • wow that was amazing. please can you release this for windows :)

  • How are you analyzing the voice command from the wp7? Do you send an audio stream to your pc to have it analyzed there? How does it work?

  • nice work and great idea, very interested aswell. hope you make an tutorial.

  • @spamtelevision I wanted to give context to the project. I could've made two separate videos, but since YouTube has the ability to jump to any point in the video, I figured one video would be ok. People can either watch all of it or jump to the main bit :)

  • @keyboardp7 my internet connection is really slow, so I have to wait more than 5 minutes for a 1 minute video!

  • @spamtelevision I can only apologise. I might add an annotation in the video to let people know when the demo starts, but I'm not going to be changing the video.

  • @keyboardp7 No problem :) have a nice day

  • @spamtelevision Thanks, you too :)

  • Please release this on WinPhone Marketplace. Full screen Youtube was a nice touch. Can you call up playlists in Zune too? Oh and that Nokia Lumia is so hot!

  • @cool8man Soon! I haven't added playlists yet, but I know how to, so basically 'yes' :) I agree, I love the Lumia. It's got the casing on it in the video and it still looks slick.

  • Now what you should do is incorporate all of that into a windows Phone App, so you can start the music on your phone by just doing voice ;)

I don't have a windows phone, so I'm not sure if that's alreadfy incorporated or not, but you seem to have the code to take it to the next level like Siri does for apple; you could do for Windows phone. This feature would make a lot more people want WP7

  • @shukero Hasn't been done as far as I know. But it's not to say it's not going to happen.... ;)

  • Please release it as fast as you can.

  • @TrickxRecords Wait till you see some other stuff I've got planned for this ;)

  • Can it play videos or playlists/smart dj in the Zune player?

Because so far it is pretty epic.

  • @domina2zn Thanks! I'm taking a look at integrating Smart DJ right now and I'm pretty sure I can get it to work with that. Videos are no problem :)

  • I would love to see a tutorial of how you did this, I'm hoping to get into more WP7 and Kinect development.

  • @Sargex84 Thanks for the interest. I have plans to integrate Kinect as well, so may end up doing a few tutorials for that too.

  • Looks awesome :D

Now if only Microsoft would integrate something like this throughout windows itself....

  • @CrisRowlands and everybody else Widows 7 already has voice recognition built in just do a search for speech recognition...

  • @CrisRowlands

What Microsoft *should* do to promote Kinect is to bundle something like this with it, and then have something like they do with their hotkey keyboards -- a "control panel" app of sorts where you can configure what voice command executes which action in windows...it would have to be advanced enough to handle multiple input commands like siri does though. They should also work on getting PC game developers to make games for Kinect that run on Windows. Would be epic win.

  • plz tell me you plan to release this

  • @WindowsMobileApps It's still early days as there are extra things I'd like to add. I do plan on releasing it in the future so keep an eye out ;)
