@onclave6 Well Prop. 8 has been overturned by the Honourable Judge Walker, and hopefully the appeals will be heading all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. I'm deleting all of my prior comments and probs this one as well after a few days. I'm glad we could talk.

@onclave6 Actually, he just said that we had already had a law -- in the Constitution -- that says gay marriage is legal, so Proposition 8 wasn't ever a legal law in the first place, because America, just not the California voters, had decided over 200 years ago, that gay marriage was legal. And this is a lot like the 60's civil rights movement, you're one of the people who wanted slavery and segregation (in an analogy).

@blakestephe I most did not want any of that . Im not buying that 200 year old vote . The country was far too conservative back then to be liberal enough to vote that way . If they vote against it in every state that brings it to a vote today then what makes you think that they would have voted for it 200 years ago when everyone was most certainly filled with more morals then now ?Prop 8 is valid .If a conservative judge had gotten the case Prop 8 would still stand .

Go back even further, and it was popular to be bisexual. Also the founding of our country are equality and opportunity for all... they even wrote it down funny enough. And Judge Walken has a history of being hard on gays. The Defence could hardly put up a case he begged them to do better. Seriously. And a conserv. didn't so there. :P

@onclave6 Finally, I'm pretty sure almost every Judge on the Supreme Court is against Judicial Activism so you don't have anything to worry, unless Proposition 8 is Unconstitutional, which it is, so you do have something to worry about. There is a very sound argument in favour against Prop. 8.

@blakestephe The majority of the court would vote against it . Kagan and Sotamoyer and Ginsburge (all appointed by liberal presidents ) would vote for GAy marriage. Kagan should not be on there for she is homosexual and the case for gay marriage she would have a bias vote . Would you not agree that her vote would be bias ?
