  • Thank you!!

  • Blody good job mate.... cheers :)

  • Gracias Amigo por ese video soy de venezuela y cambie mi pantalla a mi nokia n96 Gracias a Este tuto :) Thanks

  • when i changed My Lcd my screen shines ,thats all ,i cant see anything only shines can someone help me?

  • Nice ring! hehehe

  • hi there, my Nokia n95 screen started blacking out when it was slide in certain places , now its completely black (backlight, keypad lights and the phone itself still works)and I have tried connecting and reconnecting the screen but the same result..what would you recommend? there sometimes is a clicking noise half way up the slide ,unsure what that is??????

  • @MrDashman321 Probably the problem is in the ribbon cable, connecting your display with the phone itself. The fact it started blacking out only when you slide it in certain positions, indicates that there is problably cracked wiring inside the cable. I would suggest replacing the display with the cable, because I don't know the cable being sold as a separate spare part.

    Hope this helps :).

  • @tntodor It helps me, thanks. My phone has the same problem. For a day, the backlight started flickering off at certain points in the slide. Now it has failed completely. Squinting in strong light, I can see that there is *something* on the screen, but it is dark. The phone still works, I just can't see anything. It's annoying that I have to replace the whole LCD display. Does anyone know if the ribbon can be replaced easily, as I have a sound ribbon from a broken screen I repaired a while ago.

  • I use only 1 toll to do this all :D

  • Your screen looks almost same like my brogen screen!

  • nice video dude - i just replaced the screen for my N85, very similar to the n95 a little more fiddly - the bastard still doesnt work tho! turned it on and it starts up and then the alarm goes off and it freezes. looks like its gona be an expensive fix!! cheers for this though man it saves me spending over the odds for a screen replacement when that parts already been taken care of..

  • wat is the name that screwdriver thingy he uses

  • i think t6

  • It's called a T5.

I bought one off eBay for £1.00 and a replacement N95 screen from china (eBay again) for less than £9.00 so all-in-all it cost a total of £10.00 instead of the £85 that The Carphone Warehouse tried to charge me!

I even managed to fix it myself.. Although beware of the little clip that the robbin clips into! They are a little fragile.

  • is the chinese screen working good.?.i mean is it as good as the original one when it comes to color and resolution?

  • hey mate .. did the chinese replacement screen work fine?

The LCD and display? Is it the same or bad? :) I just bought one replacement screen but now I am reading that they are shyte :S

  • Hi there, Obviously they are not up 2 the quality standard of original N95 screen.s But worked fine. I had no visability problems with mine *until i sat my fat ass on it* LOL and when trying to replace another new screen bought off ebay, i managed to break the little catch that locks the ribbon into place. I sent it to Mazuma Mobile to be recycled and got £40 for it *not working*. So if you was to fix it without breaking the catch you could get about £85 for it *working*. G

  • "obviously someones been a bit of a pleb and broke it" haha

    great vid Thanks

  • These phones are very sensitive to moisture. You need to take out the battery and leave it somewhere well ventilated (NOT near heat of any sort). It may take a week or more to dry completely.

  • I rounded-out (striped) one of the T5 screws. I ended up drilling out the head with a 1/16 metal bit and a hand drill. I super glued the fascia back on afterwards. Worked a treat.

    Great vid. Very clear.

  • fantastic video. i struggle to change lightbulbs and done this wiv no bother at all.

  • That was hilarious

  • You are very helpful, thank you.

  • Ive heard there are different versions such as MP 1.1 etc. I NEED to know how to find the version of your screen because apparently if you dont have the right version sceen in your phone it wont work. Ive tried googling it and everything but no luck. Someone please help a brother out aye i need this phone working. Cheers

  • apparently it says on the back of the screen? I ordered a screen for an n95 and later noticed it was mp1.0, havent removed the existing screen yet to find out i have the wrong fucking one! Only one honest ebay seller mentioned the different screens. I dont see the point in sellers not being up front as its just going to come back on them when it doesnt friggin work!

  • damn this flipping phone.

Ive ripped off the facia, replaced a new lcd screen and now the ribbon clip has come off. I did it so carefully aswell, now the new screen is black.

  • the reason is because drancill did not fully explain how to open the lcd connector properly.there is a another vid on here that shows you,and I think may be there should be a warning on this page.
