How to rotate a video

Can you flip the video so its mirrored?

You can try this:

First make sure the value for both Video and Audio are not set to Copy.

Go to Video | Filters

Under Transform,

double-click Vertical Flip.

Then double click Rotate.

Select 180 degrees for angle and press OK.

It should be horizontally mirrored by then. :)

Maybe you need to download K-lite codec pack and install it so your computer can play it.

You can try downloading & installing the K-lite codec pack to your computer so your computer can play new video formats.

At first it didn't work for me. Then used different encoder and worked like a charm. So if you have trouble, just experiment with different encoders!

I have two solutions for you.

First, do steps in 0:43 - 0:49 first before choosing the video filters option.

Second if First won't work:

Using other converter, convert the video to other format. Then use Avidemux to rotate the newly converted video.

hey mate i tried it out and when i previewed it, it seemed ok, but when i come to saving it (which i did as the same as u) it only comes up as a voice clip no video! please can u tell me how to solve this problem? i need to sort out this video for work

It seems like the problem's with your codec. Try to download and install "K-Lite Codec Pack"

Restart your computer after installing and rotate the video again.

Yep, it's free and there's a Windows version for Avidemux..

As I wrote on the description on the right, I used version 2.3.0 on the vid. As of now 2.5 is already available.
