  • The secret is to watch the video as he does it and imitate him,his hands, his posture, his movement. In no time at all you will begin to experience exactly what he's talking about.

  • Sifu, I have been working on this for months. It is very hard to feel this. I am trying to work on shape and rootedness. This feeling of peng remains elusive. It is much easier to feel at commencement. When sinking one can feel energy gathering in the dan tien. I hope time will allow me to reach the turning and rising feeling you describe in this part. I have been practicing Yang 103 since early 2010.

  • @lebarosky The inner work of Tai Chi Chuan takes time to develop. It is good that you are able to have some experience of this so it will encourage you to go on with your studies. Do not be in a hurry. Learn the forms well so you can relax when practicing.

  • I like your description that the energy is" revolving and turning from the belly". Indeed, if you study Bruce Lee's punches, he was doing exactly like that. And that's why his punches could be so powerful and devastating. But I think, if we want to accomplish that, we have to learn it slowly, very very slowly, until we master the flow.
