Sure, I didn't cry, but I guarantee you alot of people did, since Zack is very likable and the music that played just added to the effect. Its the same way with Aerith.

@remcokiddy Crisis Core came first, by about a year. I'd still like him as a playable character if they made him different from Cloud. But, in my opinion. Cloud needs a guide.. He had easily the worst and least interesting destiny odyssey in Dissidia, and Square's basically made both Cloud and Sephiroth their most boring characters.

Advent Children, KHII, and Dissidia, he physically states he has a goal, like in dissidia taking his life to gain power. or using the planet as a Vessel, or, taking Sora's Keyblade even. Then every time he just gives up on that goal to screw around with Cloud Which would still be interesting if either of them were capable of showing emotion anymore.

The villains a character just like the hero and has likeable aspects about them, there personality, or their story. But, With Sephiroth, they just turned him into this weird guy who's only interest is penetraiting Cloud with his long sword.

I really just don't like Cloud's depressing slow talking though, and Sephiroth also being completely monotone because of his arrogance. I know he's supposed to be super powerful and much stronger than Cloud and just wasn't trying during AC, but he still lost. You get to be arrogant when you've won.

@TheLordChesusChrust I watched the English AC version, pretty good dub. But did Cloud's voice also sound so monotone in the original? As for Sephiroth, his voice was pretty good, but in Dissidia he sounded like an 80 year old. The only line that made sense was RedXIII's.

I also just finished the game yesterday. I was expecting the story to be mediocre like Dirge of Cerverus or Advent Children, but was completely blown away by how powerful and moving the Crisis Core storyline was. It's the first time since FFX way back in 2002 that I played a game for over 10 hours straight in one go, and it was mainly for the gripping storyline. I'd say FFVII Crisis Core is one of the greatest RPGs of all time, alongside FFVII of course.
