I played the game today, and I won the million by learning that to "shirr" an egg, you have to bake it. (other choices were fry it, steam, and boil it)

And you got that dreaded music...from what I hear the "million dollar question wrong" music is really haunting, having heard it once or twice.

Were you out of lifelines at that point? I was..just had to think about it before locking it in.

No, I still had Ask The Audience, but as you maybe can guess, the audience was very divided on this question. So eventually, I gave a wrong answer.

Well, this time, I won it and the question was about what Frederick Walton invented in 1863. I had the PAF left and the "friend" said he had a cousin in the linoleum business which is how he knew this one. (other choices were sunglasses, peanut butter, and hot air balloon).

on second edition (for Mac), a bug made all the questions not appear so all I had to do was push A the entire time. now (on third edition the most i win is $32,000 even with lifelines and other help (any advice you can give me to get to $1,000,000)?

Your first inkling is usually right, so I'd say you mostly have to go with the choice you first thought it was. Also, save your lifelines up as long as possible, and you should use Ask The Audience the first; that lifeline is useless on the last few questions.
