I love these types of things. I love tornados, but dust devils are almost more fascinating to me just because they are so spontaneus and out of nowhere.
Almost every video I've seen of a Dust devils seems to be during a sport event.... Why is that?
its funny how thoose things are so harmless and you can walk right through them and be fine, but that looked like a really fast one. i would have proably still tryed to run through it lol. awesome

Do you recall how high the dust column went?
Years ago, before camcorders, I saw one from a work van that easily could have been 300 ft.
Few noticed it because the vortex was rather faint and not much loose of fine dust at the base.
Wish we could have stopped and watched it.

Aim lower so light in the background does not dim down exposure.
But then less of the vortex would be seen.
Why only 20 seconds?

Most because more people carry cameras with them to sports events than just randomly. Other than that slightly funny answer, I've got nothing.
