The show wasn't a comedy. It was silly because they had no budget, but it was supposed to be kind of serious for a kid's show. This looks like it's nothing but comedy. Of course it's a silly idea for a show, but it was never MEANT to be funny.
And yes I would spend the $10.00 (that is the average price here in CA) to go see it because I have been a loyal Will Ferrell fan since the beginning and I have grown up watching both shows, and I know it isn't going to be like the shows, but it looks funny and Danny McBride from Tropic Thunder is in it as well. Will Ferrel was never a good actor or even funny for that matter. as far as original ideas.....they don't usually make money. hollywood tends to "play it safe." they stick to sure bets, which is why most movies are predictable "formula" movies. good or bad, Will Ferrell makes money.

lol it is DEFINATELY the right movie to turn into a comedy...the original show was such a cheese fest, if they wanted to make it serious they'd have remade The Lost World instead....but they decided to do this, and it looks like it could work.

i seriously am not watching this movie. especialy with pharoah in it... land of the lost would be hard to make serious but if they tried a little with dif actors they could have. Its like when they remad plaent of the apes. Its hard to believe that it was serious.
