@liljjtkdancer Pre Mattel is before Mattel took over American girl/pleasant company in 1999. I think the Pre-mattel (pleasant company) dolls are the original American girl dolls and they were made a bit differently. Now mattel is the owner of American girl. Hope that helped! :D

It's the "meet dress" for the Girl of Today dolls (what they used to call the JLY dolls) from 1999. I got it on Ebay. Just keep looking and eventually you'll find one. Good luck! :)
