  • people say Mick couldnt sing, but it was more about the music back in these days.

and im sure Live, it would of been better actually being there and not just listening too it on a screen/speakers

  • This song really rocks live!!

  • bring back MT!!

  • Brian Jones we miss you!

  • @1988WHISKY Maybe so.. but he's not present in this awesome verision of this song.. It sounds sooooo much better with Taylor.

Don't get me wrong, i liked brian for his psychedelic touches of the band!

  • @mrtwig80

    Yeah...Taylor is good...

But Brian was a musical genius, absolutely superior!

  • What you are looking at here is the Greatest Rock 'N Roll Band the World Has Ever Seen. Are they the Greatest R'N R Band now? No...sad to say. But, U2, ACDC, Led Zep----at their peaks....live at least, could never compare to The Rolling Stones 1972-1973.....Nobody could.

  • IT AIN´T THE FILM; BUT WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HEARD THE STONES SOUNDING LIKE THIS?

  • Eles estão na estrada desde 1962, os Stones tem cravado na história da música o título de 2a. maior banda de todos os tempos, só ficando atrás da lendária e mitológica banda: "The Beatles".

  • kick ronnie wood and bring back taylor to the stones.. soo muck better

  • It would be a nice gesture by Jagger and Keith invite Mick Taylor on their farewell tour. After all, in the period 69-74 Stones did their best rock, soul and rebellious, and no man can keep the swing arm air guitar at rest when Keith starts Jumping Jack Flash or Street Fighting Man, and Mick Taylor put his beautiful blues solos over Keith 'raw chords.

  • the stones made the best sound in rock'n' roll history when mick tyalor was part of the group. after all these years you can't fire ronnie. but I want taylor to join the band again.

  • Sounds good to me.

  • KEITH IS PHENOMENAL FOR EVER.....

  • @raul2865 Mick Taylor was phenomenal with the Stones. I'm not a huge Stones fans today, but back then Mick Taylor added magic to their sound. And he was NEVER up on himself. He was never over the top like MJ and KR. That's another reason to love MT, he was humble and sweet AND beautiful. He had a lot of class and was uber cool in a down key way. I respect MT very much.

  • Weird...totally unsynct!

  • @grandmeaulne no kidding? maybe you should read the description

  • @jaggermorrison2010 True. I just did. Sorry.

  • keef the music

  • Agree with juscurious. As an old timer who has gone through all 3 incarnations, the Taylor years were incredible. With Jagger and Richards they always had the attitude, they needed a virtuoso to kick them up past LZ, Hendrix, the Who etc as a live band that could realistically call themselves the Greatest Rock n Roll Band in the World. With Taylor, they were. And yeah, guy from Australia, it's still going on because with MT they were just so damn great. He was and is still shy, not arrogant.

  • If anyone looked like a dead fish it was Wyman, but who gives a shit? The music was incredible, far better than the shit they have been playing for the last 25 years....

  • Doesn't matter if Taylor looked like a "dead fish"....point is he added much depth with his great guitar playing...in the solo department he is head and shoulders above Woodie. They should see if he'd play with them. Switch Woodie to bass...let's not forget he was Jeff Beck's bass player back in the day....

  • How much coke are they on? This version is super fast and has no swing or groove.

  • @MarshmallowCreep

Disagree, this version brings out the brilliance of the original song in a completely new way.

It's frantic, but tight, not sloppy, and has buckets of attitude.

  • the stones = great frickin' rhythm section + keith, whom is the leader, mick t was good icing but no necessity to the core alchemy. brian was great multi-soloist also

  • Keith is fucking killing it here! His rhythm playing is super tight, particularly the choruses... MT is firing too. Nice way to close the night.

  • it's stupid to say they should hire Mick Taylor back, since he left on his own accord. The Stones were great before he came along, and are still great now he's not with them. And at least Ronnie doesn't look like a dead fish.

  • @GabbyGraffiti Mick Taylor was not there to look like anything.. he was there to play rock and roll on guitar.. and he did !

  • @Nielsanderspoulsen So true so true .. the humble kid who could play asses off all those years

  • Now I've heard several versions of Brown Sugar, Jumping Jack, Street Fighting Man, Sympathy for the Devil, Midnight Rambler, Gimme Shelter, etc from years with Mick Taylor. And where is it amazing what he and Keith did together. I would say the best rock ever in history. Fantastic songs and then put Mick Taylor finishing with his incredible guitar. Thanks!

  • They are still and will always be the best Rock Band this world has ever seen or heard . Long Live The Stones . !!!

  • Taylor quit cuz they werent givin him any credits on their LPs & he was becomin a junkie like Keef!

  • Excellent Guitar play by M. Taylor. Stones best period by far.

  • Still in 2010 - 2011 the stones should hire Mick Taylor Back and get rid of woddie!!

  • @raul2865 at this point. i think they could use both taylor and ronnie

  • @jaggermorrison2010 ......put Ron Wood on bass, get Mick Taylor and make a GREAT Stones album, tour on go out on a high note

  • @raiderbri Thats actually a great idea!

  • @jaggermorrison2010 yeah.. Ronnie to pick up plectors..

  • @jaggermorrison2010 I agree. Nothing wrong with three guitars. Taylor and ronnie are good friends anyway.

  • @raul2865 It's the best thing about youtube and the Rolling Stones. That there are so many here who know that the Stones were amazing with Mick Taylor and Keith's frontline guitars

  • @raul2865 How would MT play now ? I wish he could still perform like he used to do.

@jaggermorrisson Thank you for your kind efforts. Which concert is it taken from ?

  • Comment removed

  • @robindreaux guitarist for the stones from 1969-1974

  • @robindreaux Mick replaced Brian Jones after Brians death .

  • @robindreaux be quiet with your ignorance, thanks

  • @robindreaux dont even say that

  • @robindreaux mick taylor is the godlike guitarist producing the heavenly noise you just listened to.

  • @robindreaux If you have to ask....Well, you know...

  • Taylor was and still is incredible, biggest mistake in rock history! He should have endured and stayed on

  • mick taylor sustentava solando a musica que richards extraia da guitarra. grichards era e e o maestro dessa banda...the best!!!

  • no sense in comparing mr.taylor to any other stone, they all were part and all a fantastic gift to us all from jones to wood, and of course taylor..like a big family..things happen

  • Taylor used to get horrible write ups from the critics due to his statue like guitar playing

I'll say it today as I said it back then -fuck them

Taylor was a gift to the Stones from John Mayal

  • There´s absolutely no doubt that Mick Taylor propelled the Stones to another dimension musicwise. He was (and still is) one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

  • @boelin 100% agreement. The Stones were never as good after Taylor left. I never saw them with Taylor but I know people who saw them numerous times both with and without Taylor. According to them there simply is no comparism. When he left their live concerts lacked the energy and brilliance of his playing. Mick Taylor just might be the most underrated guitarist in rock history. He was fabulous.

  • @juscurious agreed. especially the most underrated live guitarist ever, brilliant stuff.

  • @juscurious word. i'm only now just finding out about him, i'd always assumed the stones couldn't really play their instruments

  • Mick...Forever !!! (I mean...Taylor !)

  • Dig what Mick Taylor meant to this band then, at their peak....

  • Brown Sugar was the song the Stones opened each show with on this tour.

  • The video is BROWN SUGAR in NYC on the 1972 tour

  • jagger likes to hear himself too much these days. his voice is better than he sings with in the studio or live. I have heard so many unreleased songs from the 1990s and then on by the Stones but Jagger always decides to make his voice sound so terrible when releasing any music.

I wish they committed to an acoustic album, traditional blues and country,

    make that stuff raw again.

  • @pachacutti I agree. He is actually a better singer now than he was back then. But not better... if you understand what I mean. Hate the polished sound and the ballads these days.

  • @bobbelibob completely understand what you mean... just wish jagger would.

  • Can you say rocknrol!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Look at all the energy he has on the " Shine a light " dvd. But his voice is different now. It's cleaner, higher, not raw like it used to be . Like it is here. I think he sounded better when they were partying like the rock stars they are. You know what i mean. Listen to any of the older stuff, I'm not saying there stil not great, I just like his voice better then

  • This sounds so tame compared to the Get Yer Ya's Ya's Out version, which sounds like fucking Motorhead.

  • great performance! Mick jagger is always full of energy on stage. I watched a performance on Tv he did he a few years ago..still had the same energy..the man will never get old.
