  • moonlight serenade versions by chicago, carly simon n eumir deodato top my list. one of my all-time fave songs

  • esto si es musica no las mamadas de las banditas corrientes que tenemos en mexico ya saben a cuales me refiero

  • @roybdaman there has only been 1 replacement for Peter, Jason Scheff.

  • Fuck, that man is a great bass player as well. EXCELLENT!

  • GOD!!! Beautiful Song and a BEAUTIFUL MAN SINGING !!! Robert Lamm is sexy as all get out , besides being blessed with outstanding talent. What a wonderful voice. Thanks for the post! THIS IS GREAT !!!

  • LO MEJOR D CHIKAGO

  • Ive heard all the replacements for Cetera and have to say, there can be only one. i was a huge Chicago fan in the early years, but after the death of Terry Kath and the loss of Cetera to a solo career, they unfortunately have never been the same.

  • Great performance! I saw this tour in Salem, Oregon. It was late summer of '85. It was a good show, but the crowd reaction was wanting. Seems the CD was not popular in this area, and the audience didn't know how to react to the "new" material.

  • @aladdin1052 Salem need's to pull themselves out of there time warp they are stuck in musicaly.

  • Glenn Miller was smiling down on Chicago as they were playing this!

  • @TheYodoc So well said!

  • @TheYodoc

...who knows biting his nails :-)

  • casi lo mismo que las bandas en mexico actual no

esto es algo especial muy buenos y quien lo dijera que interpretaban tambien esto como lo suyo

  • awesome always love the big band!

  • great to see and hear this ! I love Chicago and Glenn Miller and know he would be proud of this !

  • gracias a mi papa conoci esta gran banda !!

  • Except for the ending of "Take the 'A' Train," their big band album kicked butt!

  • excelentes tus videos, gracias por compartirlos!!

  • Perfect!

  • Chicago very gooding!!!!!!!!!

  • a briliant idea this is...love this group...Chicago forever!!

  • Absolutely love it!!!

  • Damn! I wish that I would've been able to see Chicago while they toured for this album. I loved it. A girl I knew then told me afterwards that she had a ticket for me because someone she was going to go with couldn't go at the last minute, but she didn't know how to contact me to offer it to me. I was sick to death!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gostei demais, essa música me trás muitas saudades da minha terra L. do Norte em 1975, acho que na época não era cantada por essa banda e sim por uma orquestra. Linda demais, não existe época para essa música.

  • Cantus fit pulcher a trombone.

  • i love chicago¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • incredibili fantastici,grandi unici nel loro genere/gino

  • A spin off that spun off

  • very cool

  • I love this video.Thank you for sharing

  • NICE......... =)

  • Great ,Chicago, from Pittsburgh Pa.

  • Chicago are a superb band and this is a superb version of an all-time classic

  • This is a great spin on the old Glen Miller piece. I love this version.

  • My favorite Moonlight Serenade version

  • Excellent! I like this version

  • I don't care what the jazz snobs say the album this comes from was great stuff. Fluffy, but great. And also the sound man on this gig should be shot. I feel like I'm at Fiddler's Green where someone's mouth is moving around in front of a mic, then 1/2 way through the chorus you slowly begin to hear the vocals, guitar player steps up & starts pantomiming when suddenly it kicks in with feedback for the last bar of his solo. Yeah, shoot the sound guy.

  • This is a glorious interpretation, although it is difficult to watch the group with their car washing clothes on. A smarter dress

would work better with this song, for me.

Clothes do make the man, even with this talented group.

  • Lol, yes they look really atrocious here..as if they just got out of bed, threw some clothes on and headed out. Look at Lamm! He didn't even bother to comb his hair - it's sticking up on one side!

Do yourself a favor and search out "Chicago - Big Band Medley" elsewhere here on Youtube. It is a live performance that aired on television back in 1995, I assume to promote the cd. But the nice part is - they are in suits and look sharp!

  • @roythomasbaker...I think Lamm's hair was done that way on purpose. Bobby was/is always doing different things with his hair. He's always had the hair to do it with! Remember: he's over 50 in this performance. If you look at the "Saturday in the Park" performance on this very same tour he is wearing a suit and a nice-very nice tie. Jason has on a jacket...now the rest of them I agree...they could use a tailor! But they still sound great!

  • Nice Interpretation.

  • what ever these guys do....i'm good with it

  • Bobby Lamm always sound good, too bad he doesn't sing more....I rather listening to him then Jeff....

  • jeff? who's jeff?

  • I always call Jason, Jeff......Don't ask me why.....A long story....lolllll....Because he sound like a cat we had called Jeff...

  • Love Chicago, and can listen to anything they play. Can't say I am crazy about their version of this song, BUT Interesting they are playing it, and a studio version might be interesting, with the vocals tightened up.

  • don't make me wait, come to me tenderly....

  • I knew Glenn Miller, Glenn Miller was a friend of mine, and Chicago, you're no Glenn Miller.

  • It's Chicago's paying of respect to Glenn Miller and the real greats of big band. A lot of people have lost respect for Miller and his colleagues. They were giants, and few musicians understand how hard playing in a band used to be: it was all talent, and no electronic help.

  • Ta' piola.

  • Know this was some years ago and he's in his sixties now-and so what !!-but he's still great looking and sexy as all get out! Really does a magnificent job on this song. Well they all do. Robert's voice has only improved with age and he was fantastic back in the late '60's.

  • If the band hadn't jumped the shark when PC left, they certainly did here.

  • Dunno...I think this is a great version of the song. Was always my favorite on the Night and Day CD. They take a classic and make it sound like Chicago. It's fantastic.

  • As much as I love Chicago, they butchered Glenn Miller's piece... *sigh*

  • Total agreeance with you there bub.

  • I agree, I had to listen to the Glenn Miller version to remember what is was supposed to sound like.

  • Look up Yasuko Agawa's version. It's much better.

  • It's alright, but it's still not Glenn Miller ;)

  • Incredible album and very under rated by critics. I rank it up in the top 5 all time great CHICAGO albums.

  • @flashpenguin86 - absolutely agree!

  • I thought I was the only one who had a copy of the Night & Day CD. I didn't even know they'd performed it! LOve Chicago, and Jason Scheff rocks, too.

  • He's not that bad. The main problem is who he was hired to replace.

  • CHICAGO is fucking awesome

  • No existen versiones comerciales de estos conciertos. Es material de coleccionistas. Saludos a Monterrey!!

  • SIMPLEMENTE GENIOS. ¡BRAVO!

  • I love how this song clip illustrates the strengths of the band.....strong vocal arrangements, the ever-versatile horn section, and a rock-solid rhythm section! By the way, the band still displays such tight playing now....if anyone cares to be objective about it.

  • This is absolutely great ! Can you please post more of this concert, or tell me where to buy this ? Id love to hear the other Songs like Caravan or Chicago !

  • Hey Juan, muchas gracias nuevamente.

Esto es un deleite para mis oidos!

I think Chicago is one of the few artists who can play covers from other singers/bands without screwing up the original version, it only sounds different and sometimes even better. This is Chicago, just art.

  • if you have more night and day stuff please post I loved that album.

  • cool wowwe

  • Really Nice! I always thought they should have gone with this Tune and/or "Night and Day" as single releases off the CD.

  • Superb clip!!

  • love it

  • Robert (his singing in particular) is the one note in Chicago that gets better and better, even as the band (in general) is in decline.

  • Thanks for the video. I love this song and they sound great. Oh yeah, and I'm loving Robert's bling in his left ear. LOL!!!
