  • Come to san francisco to do the smack talk !

  • GIANTS SUCK

  • Hands down the Yankees/Boston is the better rivalry TODAY. Did you know people plan their year around that 3 game series? They take vacation days off to tail gate in the parking lot and not have tickets to the game. East Coast baseball is a whole other breed. When the Giants or Dodgers are losing in the 7th people are rushing to their cars to beat traffic. NY/BOS fans stay till the 27th out and stay an hour after the game to celebrate. LA/SF rivalry is the greatest of all time, but not today.

  • we won world series go giants

  • giants rule fuck u dodger fans

  • think oraange and black

  • @Daveissa87

NY and boston is the very definition of rivalry. Look up wikipedia about New York and boston. I know there is a lot of hate between LA and SF, but not like NY and boston. I would consider the SF-LA rivalry # 2 behind the Yankees and red sox. LA can be pretty bad, but nobody wants to be around Yankee Stadium when the Yankees aren't playing. It is one of the worst areas, if not the worst in NYC.

On a side note, I hope the giants fan that got hurt, recovers.

  • So when red sox players are claiming that the Giants/Dodgers rivalry is more intense, take it to heart. The yankees/red sox had a better rivalry from 2004-2008. Before that an after, to compare it to the giants/dodgers is silly. Giants Dodgers is more even, more historic, almost 3 decades older, more violent and makes for the better rival. SF and LA is a classic rival in terms of economy and way-of-life. Boston compares more evenly to Washington DC than to NYC.

  • If you want to see bitterness, go to a Giants/Dodgers game, where the opposing players feel like they need a bullet proof vest walking through the parking lots. Fans are constantly being attacked at Giants/Dodgers games. Simply look up fights on youtube and you will get the idea. And SF and LA have been rivals for a long time too. In fact its a whole Nor Cal/So Cal rivalry here- in terms of economy, lively hood, and unforchetely gangs(which are sadly a reason for so much fan violence out here).

  • @Daveissa87

Are dodger fans only hostile to giants fans, or all opposing teams fans in general.

The Yankees-red sox rivalry has been around since the late 1800s, and it got bigger when they sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees. It got even more intense when the red sox beat us in 2004, after we were ahead 3-0 in the A.L.C.S. You can't imagine what is like to see your team, one win away from going to the World Series, and you lose the next 4 games in a row, and to your hated rival on top of it.

  • @carlinrulez666 Dodgers fans tend to be hostile in general, but of course are more hostile to Giants fans. All reports I have seen have said the Yanks and Sox have been rivals since 1916, not since the last 1800's. And as I have started before, your rivalry has been one sided all those years. Giants/Dodgers is the exact opposite. But to provide insight, when Javier Lopez, a former red sox player who is now a Giant, he claimed the Giants/Dodgers was more intense and "a whole other animal."

  • @Daveissa87

Leaving out the teams, the rivalries between NY and boston go back before the Yankees and red sox. We NYers and bostonians naturally hate each other. A lot more hate between the cities.

You ask most fans what is the best rivalry in sports, it will be the Yankees and the red sox.

  • @carlinrulez666 ok I guess NYC and Boston, for whatever reason, hate each other. Even though there is no reason for the hate and you're cities aren't real rivals in anyway at all. Not economically, geographically, or even in terms of tourism. You say most people would say the Yankees/Sox rivalry is the best, but you have no base for that claim. And even if that was true, you're still not saying how that makes it a better rivalry. ESPN, FOX Sports and Forbs ranked Giants/Dodgers as #1

  • @Daveissa87

giants and dodgers ranked # 1? That is news to me. Babe Ruth being sold to the Yankees is one of the greatest moments in baseball lore. Go ahead and ask baseball fans outside of the West Coast, and most will say that the Yankees and red sox is the greatest rivalry in sports.

  • @carlinrulez666 Ranked #1 by ESPN, Fox Sports and Forbs. I have already explained why Giants/Dodgers is the better rivalry. You are yet to explain why you think Yankees and Sox is the better rivalry other than saying "NYC and Boston hate each other" and "ask people and they will say blah blah." So I will ask you again, how is Yanks/Sox better than Giants/Dodgers. Rivals are made on the field, not through trade deals gone bad lol.

  • @carlinrulez666 The only reason why Yanks and Sox fans feel that the trade was that important is because not much else has occurred in the rivalry. A trade can NOT define a great rivalry. Great rivalries are played on the field, not poor choices of owners. Barry Bonds is the greatest hitter of all time, if the Giants had sent him to LA in a bad deal 20 years ago, it wouldn't even be worth mentioning in our rivalry. Yanks have a 200 game lead over the Sox. Enough said!

  • Sorry west cost baseball fans.

The Yankees-red sox rivalry is the best in sports.

  • @carlinrulez666 Are you fucking kidding me? Yankees-red sox isn't even in the best rivalry in baseball. Giants-Dodgers is HANDS DOWN the best rivalry in baseball. In terms of knocking each other out of playoff contention, 1st/2nd place finishes, most games played against each other, history of hatred, the Giants-Dodgers rivalry blows the Yanks/red sox rivalry out of the water.

  • @Daveissa87

giants-dodgers may have lasted the longest, but the Yankees-red sox rivalry is the best. Many of their games last close to 4 hours, if not longer. There is also much more hatred between Yankees and red sox fans than there is between giants and dodger fans.

  • @carlinrulez666 on what grounds would you make that claim? I went to a Yankees/Sox game in NYC and there wasn't even a single fight. At Giants/Dodgers games there are near riots in the stands. And statistically speaking, the Giants/Dodgers rivalry blows Yanks/Sox out of the water. But I'm open minded, so explain to me in which ways is Yankees/Red Sox the better rivalry?

  • @Daveissa87

There is a lot of security at both Yankee Stadium and fenway park. That is why there aren't many fights. The Yankees-red sox rivalry is the best because there is more bitterness between the two fanbases. The red sox sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees. Not to mention, there is hatred between the cities of NY and boston since the 1800s.

  • @carlinrulez666 And there are lots of security at AT&T Park, and to a less extent Dodger stadium(which is hands down the most dangerous stadium in the nation). The truth is that the bitterness between your fan bases is pretty new. The Red Sox have pretty much been the whipping post for the Yankees. In fact out of the 1700 games the two teams have played against each other, the Yankees have a 200 game edge. Out of the 2100 games the Giants and Dodgers have played, the difference is only 19 games

  • Man that package came out great. Let's work together again soon boys!
