I have connected the xbox 360 to the internet using a laptop or any other PC (with wireless ) and it's working very good without stopping =D

its ur NAT settings i used to have the same thing if u go on test xbox live connection it will tell u at the bottom which u have next to NAT (strict=bad u dnt want moderate=ok but still shite open=:D thats wat u want) if it says its open then ur fine its the other peoples NAT connection they need 2 b on open aswell as u if u arent alredy gud luck :)

Try making a wired connection and then see if it work turn off the security too then if the wire connection works it will have the ip preinstallin the system memeory plug out the wire connection then plug in the wirelss one with turning off the machine this should work considering that the ip adress will be preinstalled so it would be impossible to fail bye

mtu is speed if u have modem or dial up get your internet speeded up u need at least 1-2 meg internet speed

not neceassarily, try the xbox at someone else house that has live or playstation online, because you dont want to necessarily waste your money, right? just make sure you troubleshoot and whatnot before you wanna do something like getting a new system, know what i mean?

try setting all settings IP, DNS etc. to automatic. if that doesnt work, try hardwiring it to the modem and/or router or to your computer. if that doesnt work, go to a friends house that has something like xbox live or playstation online, and try to connect both wirelessly and hardwired to a modem/router.

the way i got it setup is that my router is downstairs, and my xbox is upstairs and is connected to my computer via the ethernet cable. as long as my computer is turned on and connected to wireless internet, live will work. i dont even need the 360 wireless adapter. does that help?
