  • Alo, illamasqua is an english company.. sorry!

  • IIl a mas ka

    how you pronounce that brand.

ive never used a fleshtone kohl before, might have a look into it

  • Holy cow, didn't you used to post on the MAC_Cosmetics livejournal years ago??? I remember you! How random to find you on youtube now. I hope that your health is well now. :)

  • What color/brand are you using on your lips. I love it. I want it. Liner? lipstick?

  • Try nude by Dolce&Gabbana

  • I know Pixi (at Target) sells a skintone liner, I haven't tried it but I think pixiwoo used it in one of her videos (it was Sam) I hope that helps somewhat!

  • Is Tendered by Mac? And is it 100% safe on the water line?

    Thanks.

  • I LOVE ALLLLL YOU LOOKKSSS

  • Mac is coming out with a new Flesh Toned eyeliner!

It's called a chromographic eye pencil, it's already PRO, but should be released April 22 for a limited amount of time at counters.

It comes in two shades, I believe, one for darker like NW20-NC30 and one for NC15-NW20.

I can't wait to hear more about them!

  • I have stila's topaz and MUFE's champagne liner. The MUFE one was such a dissapointment. Its not pigmented at all on my waterline which was unexpected considering how expensive it was, so I use it as a base. The stila one I loove I got it for 8 bucks at sephora not too long ago. It's very pigmented and stays on the waterline (for me.) The color is a bit more peachy though so it doesn't work for every look (again, on me.)

  • I LOVE this idea of flesh colored liner! Do you happen to know where your friend found illamasqua in Paris? I'll be there next month and i'd love to pick some up as well.

  • What is a reverse lip liner?

  • i loove your hair like this!

  • If anyway wanted to know what a flesh toned eyeliner would be used for keep reading.

Instead of using white eyeliner on the waterline (the moist part of skin above your lower lash line) you can use a flesh toned which looks more natural. It does the same exact thing as a white liner would, meaning it will open up the eyes and make you look more awake.

  • Is illamasque different from illamasqua in the UK?

  • i think it's just the UK company called 'illamasqua'. they ship internationally i think now.

  • Great vid. Im still on the hunt for a great but cheap flesh toned eyeliner. I think i might check out the stila

  • I don't get it. Where you apply eyeliner its already flesh toned...because it's flesh?

  • waterline of lower lashes - it looks more natural than white :)

  • ok:)

  • sometimes your waterline gets red say from waking up or allergies or irritation w/e the thing may be. using a fleshtone kind of corrects it and gives you a brighter look. as she has said maybe in a video or comment it kind of acts like a conealer or adds a little glamour :)

  • whats the point of fleshtone? how would u use it?

  • I have an llamasqua liner in Cane, which is a fair yellow based nude shade. I got it to line my waterline, unfortunately, it dilutes as if it were watercolor when I put it there. The area around my lips is a bit dry and I felt the Illamasqua liner sometimes accentuated that, so be aware.

BTW, for anyone wondering, Illamasqua (pronounced Ill-a-Mask-a) is actually a British line, so other than the brand name, you don't have to worry about funky pronunciations!

  • Pencil me in makes a liner called 'buff'

Although it is a pale green color they claim that it was designed to cancel out the redness/pink on the waterline for the apperance of bigger brighter eyes.

Weather it does or not, I'm not sure because I haven't tried it yet

  • a beige kind of eye pencil that i use, that has a sheen like you were describing is called chill the champagne its by maybelline its a coll effect cooling shadow/liner and i really like it, maybe it's similar to your product!

  • what color do use to dye your hair?? ..i love it..!!

  • Why are you so gorgeous?!

  • Maybe this has already been answered, but was wondering if you know if it's okay to use the Cargo lip liners on the waterline? Just curious...

  • The only reason most lip products are unsafe to use on the eye area is because of carmine - a red dye that many people have eye sensitivities to. So if the pencil doesn't have carmine in it, I would assume it's okay to use.

  • thank u for the fierce hair lol

  • i love the stila one!

  • I LOVE Stila's Kajal eyeliner in Topaz. It's a good color :)

  • A good one I have seen is from Max factor. I"m not sure of the color... but it's a cheap dupe

  • Wow Risa you look so stunning in this vid!! I actually gasped! x

  • I just now started wearing white in my waterline...I can't keep up! I'm so pale, maybe it doesn't look bad.

    You are soooo pretty!!!!!!!

  • I wanna try the MUFE one

  • I've been looking for a flesh toned eyeliner for a while... and then a couple of weeks ago i tryed one from Gosh :) On the pencil it say: " Sparkling pearl crystal ´eyes eye pencil" and i really like it :)

Just an idea maybe it will work for you to :)

    *Big hugs*

  • Great review. Illamasqua pencils are amazing!!! They are multipurpose and very long wearing, as you said. As far as I am aware they are not waterproof but I still love them. Also, love your makeup in this video. Looking forward to the tutorial. xx

  • i love the fleshtoned for my waterline so much nice then white i find :)

  • you look pretty, love your earrings

  • Since you are not adverse to putting non eyeliner products on your waterline,

try checking out some of the Anastasia brow highlighters. They come in both matte and shimmery shades and seem to come in very neutral peachy pinky tones that might work for you.

Hope you find your perfect dupe!

    ~Val

  • Sephora has a lipliner that looks similar, just not shiny. It's called Native Nude. I don't know if it will be safe to use on the waterline tho...

  • Hi Lisa!

I own a khol pencil from MaxFactor that is flesh toned- although now seeing a swatch of Tendered, it might not be close enough (it may be less shiny and pinkier )... Anyways, it may be worth to check out next time your at your local drugstore. :)

  • you should do a tutorial on your hair that you did!! and the make up too :))))

  • FYI her video Neutral with a touch of drama shows you how to do the eyes like she did them here!

  • BEST COMMENT EVER. I love that you realized that it's nearly and identical look (in regards to technique). You'd be surprised how many people don't understand this concept. BRAVO to you!! :D

  • This technique is amazing! I love the 3D look that it gives your eyes, and I use it all the time! Just as I was getting bored with everything, I found these tutorials and it's great because you can do them with any color combination. Thanks for posting these! :)

  • i've heard that naked pigment looks like tendered on the waterline =]]

  • Yea there's a lot of powder products that do - Naked Lunch, Flushed (prestige), but a lot of people have sensitivities to wearing powder on the waterline - plus a pencil is just so much more convieniant.

  • you look so pretty in this vid, love the hair

  • What colors are on your eyes?? You look gorgeous!

  • I wish you could find something for Feline Kohl! :) But i love the new dupes!

  • Thank you! I was just looking at some of those products. Too bad sephora doesn't carry the entire Illamasqua line! I hope they will soon because I'm never going back to France haha.

  • U REMIND ME OF A BRUNETTE FERGI ;))

  • as fleshtoned eyeliner i really like Kryolan 905 liner, it's some kind of peachy beige, it has no sheen thou. :)

  • I so suck at my own hair..lol..

  • Your hair looks really pretty in this video...:)..I like it..~ It's sickeningly perfect.....as always..:p

  • illamasqua

    sephora has pearly white...

  • OMG you know how you have a habit of saying "Let's see" it seems that I've developed the same habit since watching your videos :O :'( HELP

  • really?! I didn't even notice I say that so often lol

  • OMG!!! meee toooooo. I work in a contact centre and say "let's see" all the time now while I'm checking something for my customers. LOL! Risa, you say it soooo much but we love it. It's just another part of your ever so cute personality. xx

  • love ya makeup!

  • Thanks for taking the time to swatch these at Sephora. I don't like to use a while liner on the waterline because it doesn't look right to me so I have been curious about getting something like a Tendered that would work for me.

    @missmarisol

  • Your hair looks stunning in this video, your entire look with the make up and hair is gorgeous.

You need to do a tutorial for your hair.

  • what eyelashes are you wearing today?

  • i think it's pronounced ILL-AH-MASK-AH.

i really wanna try their stuff.

  • idk i use pinkie its kinda bright but it works i like it better than using white most times

  • is the mac tendered discontinued?

    :)

  • Yes it is discontinued that is why she is looking for a dupe.

  • With the worst lighting possible she is still 10x sexier than the majority of the population.

  • do you ever use OCC's Katrina lip tar? I think you may like it. Its really similar to what you have on in this video.

    Btw, you are GORGEOUS :)

  • WHAT'S THE SEXY SHEET ON YER LIPS!?!?! i loe you btw

  • Love your videos! Are you on FaceBook? :-)

  • Thanks :) I am, but my account is only for friends and family.

  • Ok. :-) Thank you for replying, and keep the great vids coming! :-)

  • What lashes are you wearing here? They look great!

  • where can you get illamasque.....only in france?

  • its a uk brand

  • On the Sephora web site.

  • from what I understand it's going to be exclusive in Sephora within the US for a year and then they'll have counters.

  • The Stila Kajal in Topaz that you mentioned is working for me for now but I would love to have the Tendered pencil by MAC :)

  • you always have a problem with your lighting being to harsh, and you have amazing lighting, but try putting a coffee filter or tissue paper over the light to scatter the rays it so it stays just as bright, but doesn't get as harsh. the tissue paper should soften it enough to not wash colors out as much. That's what we have to do at my school's announcement tv channel (-.- stupid low budget wont get us anything but desk lamps). I dont know if it will help you or not, but just thought it might.

  • I use that technique with photography, but never considered it for video because it's really just a simple bulb, so there's no way to do that without burning it...for now at least! I am going to look into different lighting. Thanks! :)

  • Hey, finally someone giving CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Not just criticizing but giving a resolution too. Nice of you to suggest that.

  • hehe ^_^' thanks for the compliment (i guess) just a little trick that I've picked up along the way. she works so hard trying to show us what we want, so if there's anything that might help her why not?

  • thier is also an eyliner kajal by stilla called topaz that looks very similar to ur tender

  • I use a lip liner from bourjois as a eye liner, it works great for me and im fair skin 2. I think the name is 10 espeigle.

  • What about Stila Topaz?

  • she mentioned that one in the video, it was the Stila Kajal.

  • thanks risa! :) since i've been watching your videos..i myself have been looking for a dupe for tendered! thank you for this video! :) <3

  • lovely as usual :-) the only thing is the brand is actually Illamasqua and pronounced Ill-uh-mask-uh kind of haha. Its ok though :-)
