I also completely agree about being able to do everything on your own. I dont want someone else feeding my son..thats My job. If I didnt want to be a Mommy again then I wouldn't have gotten pregnant again. Im also very independent when it comes to my children. Have you had to deal with Nasal Congestion? I always have a runny nose during the day and at night I cant breath well at all. Ugh!

I totally get where you are coming from! My biggest thing when I had Chelsea was trying to learn how to BF (and it wasn't easy AT ALL) and having sooo many people here for HOURS and me having to go to my room and try to feed her! It just made me mad that it was my house and I had to hide!
Lol. I don't think it's wrong to want a little bonding time in with your new baby. I mean, how much help do you really need? Your the momma, you know what your baby needs, and you know what your doing :) Plus you've got Matt & Joey there to help too :)
I know what you mean about being smothered after having your baby, my sister was there when I got home and she was fantastic, she helped to bath my son and looked after him when me and my fiance wanted to rest, but then two days after my son was born everyone came to visit and to 'help' I just wanted to tell them to go away lol. :)

Except my situations is a little different since all our family lives on the other side of the country =) Mostly its just hubbys family coming to visit that I'm worried about. For me it's only my mom and she let me pick her dates to fly out. But his family sent us emails informing us of when they were coming w/o asking when was convenient for us =( They also told us they invited my teenage SIL friend to come along

People are pushy. At my shower my cousin asked me if I wanted visitors at the hospital or at home. I told her at home after we get settled in, but that of course we have a few people which we're having at the hospital but that's it. And my "aunt" that I NEVER see says, "Well I'm on the list right? " UHHHH, No bitch, you're not. is what I was thinking, but I said, "Well you can stop by that day (she referred to when we have the baby) but I'll be in recovery so I won't be able to visit much.

I should have posted on your last video about the hoo haw pain....It was the worst thing. It got to the point where it was really hard to get out of bed and I had to move both legs over at th same time close together and even then it was like a knife jabbing in me. At the time, I didnt know if I was going to make it,lol....and then it didnt go away for a bit after giving birth so im like WT?! I dont miss that at all ;)

I'am absolutely terrified about this, I don't want it to happen at all....Being a first-time mother, I need that time alone with my child to bond with her, learn about her, and especially try to breastfeed and figure out a schedule...I do not want to be overwhelmed by anything or anybody!

Im so glad that you talked about the topic of visitors/friends/family after the baby's born, I feel so much better knowing that I feel the exact same way! Im due in April with my first, a little girl...Im in my early 20's but I still live with my parents so that I can afford to stay at home with her and go back to school this fall, but this also worries me. I feel that family, friends, and neighbors will feel more welcome/comfortable just "stopping" in because I it's our family home.

I had heart burn extremely bad, and had it even worse during labor. I would definitely recommend you throw some tums or whatever you use in your hospital bag because it took forever for them to bring me some in the hospital.

I don't think you're being bitchy about it. She's your child and you should have all the alone time you want with her. So many people say "well, you've held her for Nine months, let someone else hold her now", but even though you've felt her and started to bond with her, being pregnant is completely different to being a mother...I don't think it's selfish at all to want to be with her and not be crowded.

I don't think you're being bitchy about it. She's your child and you should have all the alone time you want with her. So many people say "well, you've held her for Nine months, let someone else hold her now", but even though you've felt her and started to bond with her, being pregnant is completely different to being a mother...I don't think it's selfish at all to want to be with her and not be crowded.
