I'm offended that she used a very real problem to explain something so trivial. Pain from being abandoned will heal and lessen with time, but homelessness can and does kill people. Oh yeah, I've been both of these things, abandoned and homeless. The first tears you apart and you think you're going to die but a year or five and you realize you're going to be ok. But, when you are homeless you feel like noone cares and you are worthless and as far as the others you are worthless.
