who cares if the video is really a spy vid or not... the car is real. there is an article about it in the german car magazine "auto motor und sport" saying that the last models of the slr will be sold as the speedster version shown in this video. it will be powered by the slr 722 edition engine and get some modifications to the suspension making it much more trackworthy.

sorry but i'm pretty sure thats fake. there are knock off 'roadster style' shells you can buy about, and also has nobody wondered why Mercedes is using a test track "near Woking"??!!

it didn't sound anything like an SLR and no firm would spring a model out without heavy consumer testing. this would be confirmed and also would not be decorated in what looks like duct tape for a test run!

Woking is where McLaren is headquartered (where the SLR is built), and this is the last road car they are doing with Mercedes.

the car is tested "near woking" because that is where mclaren has its headquarters and the slr is built. what u call "decoration" is used to make it hader for cameras to capture details of the body. just check out other spyvideos. bmw even use something that looks like a flower print making it really difficult to capture any details.

2nd, you notice very fast the camera is a heavy/expensive one, because the image is very stable yet the filmter tries to shake and zoom in/out like a retard.
