BE WARNED. AoC is AN AMAZING GAME, But it heavily depends on computer power, so if you have a low-medium end computer your gonna cry so much that you will start to hate the game. I am fed up of playing it at LOW graphics and yet still playing it at an avrage of 10 fps.

If it wasn;t for my friends that are also playing the game I would just delete it and maybe start it when a new PC will arrive.

Minor lag? Are you being serious? This game's recommended requirements is an E6600, a GeForce 7900GTX, and 2GB of RAM. You can build a computer with all of that for under $500. Just get an E8400(much better than the E6600) for $220, a $60 gigabyte mobo, 2GB of G.Skill RAM for $35, an 8600GT for $50, and a decent PSU for $40. Rip your old HDD and case and viola! This game is not that hard to run, just the little kiddies that use their parent's comp can't afford to buy a GPU.

Its what gave the impression that you need a console for games, parents just bought a basic PC from PC world with onbord graphics and then any games run like your watching a 16 bit slide show. If anyone actualy bothers to spend the $300 they would have on a console on a Gfx Card it can look just as good as a console.

Looks pretty darn awesome for a Online game... Heck for any game.

I'm pretty sure there will be more players on WoW due to the vast system requirements to handle this behemoth; It will surely push a 8800, 3GB Ram, and Dual Core to it's limit base on that tech demo alone. Luckily 360 owners will be able to play it a few months afterwards to further increase the community.

WoW was fun for a short time (though it was much more enjoyable back in closed beta); but now it's just a boring title that people are clinging on to since it was, in most cases, their first MMO.

If only they were around back in the old UO days when there was true innovation; Age of Conan is bringing that back.

If you don't want Vista, you can just use a Hacked Windows XP. It works even better, as you don't use up as much RAM as Vista. The true problem is the Video Card. Get a 8600GTS (180$) and run away with it.

DirectX 10 is not supported by XP, only by Vista at the moment.

There is however a DX9 mode for Age of Conan so XP people can play it just fine.
