Elvis Presley was once asked who he wanted to sound like most -- his answer was "someone between Dean Martin and Billy Eckstine." I think Elvis did it. I can hear in Dean Martin's style and voice what Elvis must have heard. This song proves Dean Martin would have been a great duet singer with Elvis Presley. This is the bluesiest, down and dirty Dino I have ever heard. If Elvis had been alive, he would have loved this from Dean. Dean should have done more songs like this.
It never ceases to amaze me how songs relate to events in your life. I met my partner Julie two n half years ago. The lyrics some up everything I feel for this woman, thanks Deano a great great song!
Actually, '3goatees' I agree, 100% - I felt that Frank was a much- overrated singer....he had none of the lovely warmth that Dean had, with that real "connection" to the words of a song (and, most of the time I found this man faintly irritating...!!!)
He does this well - (maybe he might have needed a little bit of 'help'.....do to the breathlesssness, from the years of heavy smoking...!!) but it's still his talent, that carries this song, and the others on these albums of the "NASHVILLE SESSIONS"....good work, Dean - most enjoyable!!!
Sorry, Sinatra mostly sucks, with few exceptions! Only young idiots who follow what everybody else thinks is "hip," like Sinatra. They don't even know squat about Dean Martin because they haven't even bothered to seek for themselves because they're sheep!

Dean Martin was so dreamy. He had a great voice. I love this song and Dino did a great job but I do like Ivory Joe's rendition better.

They're not making 'em like Dean Martin, any more. Everybody else pales in comparison. Thanks for posting this.

I just loved it and I, too, agree that Sinatra may have been a little overrated, at least, I prefer Dino.

Since I met you baby my whole life has changed
Since I met you baby my whole life has changed
And everybody tells me I'm not the same
I don't need nobody to tell my troubles to
I don't need nobody to tell my troubles to
Cause since I met you baby all I need is you
[ sax ]
Since I met you baby I'm a happy man
Since I met you baby I'm a happy man
I'm gonna try to please you in every way I can
