I just returned mine. Couldn't even get 1 meg with wireless. All my other devices in the house get 8-12. Also youtube (low quality) was really bad even with a wired connection. Does anyone know if they all have this problem or did I just get a bad one? Really want a netbook!

That's an interesting question. But no, I've never noticed any battery power change or drain on any computer on which I've upgraded the memory.

it will work with DDR2 533 PC4200 or 667 PC5300 SoDimm. The best compatible ram would be Low Density ram, Non-ECC. I hope this would help!

I upgrade mind, they are all the same. Just to let you know that. if it you first did not see 2GB ram after upgraded then refresh your bio. go to F2 the reset your bio and restart your computer.

buy the DATA ram, it will recognize automatically. no need to change or upgrade bio. But you plan to upgrade to ssd hard drive, maybe it need to config a little bit.

I read stories of people who upgraded their 1000H RAM (on XP) to two 2GB, where it would not recognize it immediately. Did you upgrade the BIOS before switching the RAM or how did you manage to have it recognized automatically?

There's no need to upgrade the BIOS, in order to see the additional memory. All you need to do is go into the BIOS and then exit again, saving changes.

No you do not invalidate the anty if you cange the ram, no more than if you were to open a tower unit and replace the ram in that.

No you cant, the motherboard just supports 2gig, otherwise you would have gotten 2gig + 512 from the internal stick ;)

Cool,glad I know Cantonese.With the price drop this looks like the best Netbook out there to buy now.1000H is a much better buy than the 1000 or MSI Wind.But the only thing is I suspect the Duo Atoms will be out very soon.So then I'll decide when thats out and see how the prices are compared to all the specs and perfomance.

SO does anyone know if you can swap this with a Duo Atom CPU when that comes out?

Yes you can change the 2.5" HDD just as easily as swapping out the RAM.
