This is kicking another actor's (Iron's) whole performance in the ass with just three pitch perfectly delivered lines. Damn! :D
Btw., they never quote the whole thing but back then Terry actually said he always thought that Vetinari looked like Jeffrey Jones, who is ginger btw. and would probably look quite like Dance now had he taken care of himself. Terry said "maybe a little bit like the bad guy from Die Hard" e.g. Rickman, obviously too heavy nowadays as well. Dance is pretty much ideal.
@Trampadoo There's also the slight matter that Jeffrey Jones was arrested for first selling cigarettes and marijuana to minors, then for child pornography and trying to get a 14 year old boy to pose for photos, and then for not updating his status as a sex offender.
I wouldn't say he's really heavy, his whole physique simply doesn't have this typical tall, lanky, frail appearance Vetinari is supposed to have and Dance has. ;)
