  • you cant harm me my wings are like a shield of steel

  • I swear at 6:15 he says key to the shittty

  • We should show this to the new generation who play on consoles all the time. They need a good taste of old fashionedness. Oh and hornby too!

  • "Super duper sonic sonar radar ruiner"...wicked!!!!

  • Thank you Dick and Dom, and your amazing bungalow

  • I just had a Batfink costume for my bachelor party yesterday. LOL

  • This was and always will be the best TV show on television.

  • I used to hate this cartoon..! My name is Hugo, so people always referred to me as 'Hugo A-Go-Go'... Now, years later, it's fun to see it again...

  • My favorite of all time, Love this cartoon

  • I like his car the "Batallac"

  • I haven't see thin since the 60s

  • that mad scientist is MAD!!!!

  • MY FAVORITE CARTOON EVER!!!

  • OH MY GOD!

It's have been YEARS since the last time I watched this Cartoon! :D

  • I used to watch this on tv when I was little!! I couldn't rememeber the name of Batfink so I couldn't find it anywhere ... And I suddenly decided to google "shield wings steel" and there he is!!! I love Batfink!!

  • Karate is incredibly racist.

  • @Droidfish why? :S

  • @Droidfish how is Karate racist?

  • @Droidfish how?

  • @Droidfish No he's not,he's just stupid !

  • cant beleve the brass knuckles

  • Banzai!

  • i love how the bad guy is German

  • A welcome mat? Seems legit.

  • that mad scientist is mad!

  • Capable karate = racism?

  • @Aniforce this happened all the time in cartoons, it was harmless fun

  • @Aniforce No more than Kato and Gung Fu! Not only was Batman on every week, so was the Green Hornet, and they even met in one episode of Batman. Can anyone read the Japanese script when Karate "Bansai"s?

  • LOLOLOL I REMBER THIS!!! :D

  • WOW THE THING THAT PISSED ME OFF IS THAT WHEN U THINK BATFINK will die, they make a stupid way for him to stay alive, fuk sake

  • Holy Crap!! That cracked me up!! I watched Batfink when I was 7. Loved it then and Loovvveee it now!! What a classic! Thanks for the memories and the tears in my eyes from laughing so hard!

  • @katgrrl70 It definitely takes me back to fall of 1967. This time I can see it in color!

  • what no batman

  • hahahahaha "but I did remember to darn my socks" "oh darn it"

That cracked me up so much

  • Like a crap version of Danger mouse really, now THAT was a Super hero/ small animal cartoon!

  • batfink sonds a bit like niles from fraiser ;)

  • karate. not racist at all.

  • @sjaatime lol i cant beleive his name is just karate... I mean really ? lol they might aswell have just named him chinaman or something, cartoons were horrible back then xD

  • Thank god nobody in the beginning shot at his legs

  • I loved this!

  • "That mad scientist is mad!!"

  • Don't think Batfink gets the cartoon at teatime respect he deserves. Unlike Paddington bear (bollocks), Rhubarb & Custard and Captian Pugwash (which is actually very good).

  • "Also good we have seat belts."? Neither Batfink nor Karate is wearing a seat belt! Back in 1967, seat belts were quite new, Barney Rubble mentions them in "The Man Called Flintstone", but seats belts, and not shoulder straps, were in new cars.

  • I used to watch this when i was 7!CLASSIC!

  • hahah

    This sure brings back memories!

  • supersonic radar make me a sandwich

  • I'm 15 and I still want to marry karate.....

  • Do you also have the Goldstinger?

  • Asian face :D

  • @generalshinobi No more than Joe Jitsu of the Dick Tracy show!

  • "Your bullets cannot harm me! My wings are like a shield of steel."

Shield of steel, hey? Well, lets do something to spread those wings.

  • DOES NOBODY REALISE IT'S A SPOOF OF THE 1960'S BATMAN SERIES!!!! IT'S SUPPOSED TO E STUPID!!!

  • @bumbledown08 I didn't in 1967, but decades later, I realized that all these cartoons have copyrights of 1966 and 1967, exactly when the Batman series was on. It was right after I found out that Mighty Mouse spoofed Superman. Obviously, they combined Batman with the Green Hornet (which débuted in fall of 1966), so Karate came out of Kato. As usual, the producers didn't know the differences between Japanese and Chinese!

I never did get the jokes in cartoons back in 1967, and they are so lame.

  • Before there was "Kato" (Bruce Lee) of the "Green Hornet ," there was "Karate" of "Batfink"!

  • Brass isn't magnetic. Thumbs up if you knew that already. Obviously the producers didn't.

  • i'd like if instead of BAN-ZAI he said BAN-KAI and turn into a fucking super duper mojo jojo power puff super sajan full metal kage bushin BATFINK and then die from internal bleeding cause he couldnt handle so much power!!!

  • ban-zai!!!!!

  • I hope those sharp wings don't scatch up his ass when he goes to the bathroom. lol.

  • is it just me or did the mayer guy actually say "the key to the shitty" rather than "the key to the city"?

  • My super sonic sonar radar will help me!

  • I love this. It's like a parody of itself. I like it alot more than I did when I probably should've.

  • BAN-ZAI!

  • Mel Brooks should take this up and make a live version.

  • batfink que recuerdos de mi infancia..

  • Thankyou 4 the memories.

  • @Draculix Good job man, you analyed a cartoon for 6 year-old children.... /clap

  • Hugo ago go reminds me of Ralph wiggum

  • Great for nostalgia, but I must say that brass in not magnetic! lol

  • Hey Blair Milligan this use to come on after I arrived home from school. :-) Thanks for the vlog. Karate rose above racial stereo typing and becaome a star.

  • y do people analyze cartoons?? its a cartoon

  • some top-notch script writing here.... and by top-notch mean terrible.

  • I had a Bat Fink costume for Halloween once!

  • @Philflash so jealous i want one..

  • Karate had brass knuckles, why was he affected by the magnet?

When they made contact, why did the magnet's poles break (whatever that means)?

Why did they use Plutonium, a highly reactive and heat-generative substance as a heat shield?

  • @Draculix The question you should be asking is: 'Why can't I enjoy life?'

  • @Draculix lol.

  • i remember this from like years ago

  • y is he a cat with wings

  • You would think those wings wouldn't be so easy to move!

  • i dont get it, his wings protect his body but NOT his head

  • I used to watch this when I was 5 or 6 years old

  • Yeah, one of my toons I remember much better now, true vintage stuff 4 me.

  • Oh man I use to looooove this.

Some how I don't remember brass being magnetic. I don't care, I mean Batfink has frigging wings of steel.

  • LOL

  • Maybe my supersonic radar will help me... *BEEP*

  • Fuck this!

  • Wienerville used to play these along with classic Alvin and The Chipmunks

  • @Lifesucksmetaldoesnt That's where I remember seeing it too. Glad to know someone else remembers that show; no one I know has any idea what that was.

  • @Nashida226 Aw man, Weinerville was awesome.

BEEP...BEEP...BEEP

  • Despite the ethnic stereotype, I love these old toons.

  • Karate is powerless against stereotypes!

  • So bad but at least they tried to throw in some jokes along the storyline. I'd watch any cartoons on when I was 6 years old and only had 5 TV channels to chose from (NYC 1960's-70's). Thanks for posting.

  • still as cheesy but still great

  • I remember seeing this exact episode as a kid around 13 years back. Wow thanks for the upload.

    Ti na pis twra.Anamnisis!

  • It must be nearly 15 years since I last saw this classic show!

  • key to the shitty???

  • Your bullets cannot harm me! My wings are like a shield of steel!

  • @izzykdaknight fucking ayy mate, i love this show.

  • @izzykdaknight

Batfink has obviously never heard of armor-piercing rounds...

  • peeb peeb

  • Funny how you see things differently when you're a child. I can't believe that I used to love this cartoon. It does bring back fond memories though!

  • @garyda1 You have to understand however, that this cartoon was firstly shown in 1966,in my country we barely had TVs before the 70s,this cartoon is awesome for it's time.

  • @garyda1 It puts me back to fall of 1967, only this time it's in color!

  • @garyda1

And I used to HATE this cartoon, but love it now because I can understand the satire-- for example, Bat Fink is Batman, and Karate = Kato.

Often, cartoons have satiritical elements that kids can't understand; those are usually the most famous ones.

  • @garyda1 It was intended as a parody of course. I don't think anything could genuinely be this cheesy!

  • Wow, this show was (and it's still) great! I used to watch it at my childhood. Hugo A Go Go is a precursor to punk idiom!

  • elementary school flashback!!!

  • damn that a classic

  • Try Dangermouse for another ironic animal superhero

  • My wings are like a shield of steel!

  • TOP!!!

  • lolz, I love this show :D

  • disappointing, someone wrote it was the next best thing before Monkey Dust.

  • maybe you just have to watch a few more episodes. I remember when I first saw Batfink on TV it took me ages before I actually realised it was meant to be funny! Give it another chance and try another, there's a lot of great anti-humour in it ;)

  • BEEP BEEP

  • 5:06 wtf

  • Great Batfink! This cartoon marked my childhood, among others. Thanks a million for posting it!!

  • WITHH MYY WINGSS OFF STEELL

  • I watched Batfink in the late 60s early 70's on WPVI in Philly. I believe it was part of Sally Starr's p.m. show.

  • fuck youu batfink is the superhero of all superheroes =D

  • i agree

  • oh god i adore it....i cant believe i ve found it after all these years

  • I know how you feel :)

    greatest lines ever

  • i watch this every mornin of the week and im 14 rofl

  • IM FREAKIN HORNY! c

  • i know the feeling

  • m wooow im naked right now! e

  • Brass actually ISN'T magnetic so Karate's brass knuckles shouldn't have been attracted by the magnet.

  • good call dude

  • i loved this....

i always remember the morse code...

  • omg batfink like koolio i always used to watch it

  • I'd like to know if batfink was actually a really old cartoon with colour or a modern cartoon made to look old.

  • It IS old, from the mid 60's. I remember watching it when I was a kid during the 80's. Batfink is quite cool. There were his wings "like a shield of steel" and his "beep" which he used to follow xD

  • Like me, you probably caught this on Nickelodeon when you were a kid in the 90's, but the show actually first aired around the same time the Batman show staring Adam West and the Green Hornet show co-starring Bruce Lee came out. It's a parody of both, and it does a good job in my opinion.

  • BATFINK IS AMAZING!!! He always has the correct gadgets for the occaision, even if they aren't mentioned earlier in the program. I prefer Batfink to dangermouse.

  • *****BATFINK IS AMAZING!!! He always has the correct gadgets for the occaision (sic)*****

I don't think that it's any coincidence that this is also true of the human batlike superhero that inspired him.

  • "Your bullets cannot harm me my wings are like a shield of steel" -- Great stuff!!

  • I cried rivers when this was taken off air.

  • a thermo nuclear plutonium would kill you. so batfink and karate would be dead, are indeed walking corpses doing good. not like those regular zombies

  • Isn't it amazing how limited animation and perculiar voice acting can be so damn entertaining?

  • THAT MAD SCIENTIST IS MAD!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i used to watch this every morning before school XD classic

  • Someone should put up episode 99, Father Time Bomb, That episode was so good we named our band after it!!! Seriously search father time bomb you will find our band.

  • OMG! This was the "pilot" episode of Batfink! Note how Karate had "buck teeth" later to be taken off in future episodes of Batfink. Batfink was a spoof on Batman & The Green Hornet.

  • I noticed the same thing. When it was on Boomerang, they never showed these eppisodes. They must have thought the buck teeth would be too offensive.

  • I love this cartoon!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing. It brings me back very good memories of my childhood.
