I am sold on this guitar after many videos and one specifically with Dimarzio pickups upgrade. The only down I have is that it doesn't have the Sharkteeth fret markers Ibanez's are normally seen with,but I have always been qaulity over looks anyways,and this guitar is still sharp looking with that racing Yellow - SOLD.

Hey, can someone please tell me how to get the sound to stay that long when you use the trem? I have the same guitar, and when ever I used the tremolo, either the sound fades away really quickly, or the other strings fade in. It's greatly annoying. Could it be my amp, or my pickup settings? Or is it just one of those things you have to practice until you get it? PLEASE HELP!

@DANizDAN Yeah, as long as the locking nuts are on tight enough. I've had this guitar for about a month now and it hasn't gone out of tune at all.

@Username78239 Neither. If you have the money get a jackson dk2. Trust me i bought this Ibanez guitar and the pickups were dull and the trem kind of stayed in tune. Ibanez's and Jackson's are both GREAT at soloing, but a jackson is better at riffing and they are equipped with a better floyd and better pickups. The only way your gonna get the ibanez to sound good is if your running through a prettty descent rack.

The Beast in the background is clearly a custom handcrafted guitar by BC Rich since it clearly has the R inlay on the headstock

Something that isn't a generic shred guitar, because all the low-end superstrats are made of cheap wood with paper thin necks that sound like cheap, thin pieces of shit.

cheap wood maybe plywood... basswood is like getting more what you paid for.. i don't know why people diss basswood so much. BUT basswood is well balance not like a muddy mahogany or too light sounding as ash. people diss basswood due to the soft wood and cheaper price AND ABUNDANCE but in my opinion basswood is the holy grail of sound.. even tom anderson guitars uses basswood on high end products. i would suggest try an rg1570(basswood) with evo pickups or any tom anderson(basswood).

Mahogany is only muddy if your pickups don't have definition, mahogany guitars need really bright really hot pickups.

Ash needs cooler pickups that have stronger low end.

Most people's problems with basswood is that it damages pretty easily, and isn't really completely tonally balanced, and that isn't a bad thing, it's all about taste.

Shredders use basswood because it helps embellish pick attack, which is the main tonal feature of shredding.

yes you are right... basswoods are soft woods and dings easily that is why they are usually used with polyurethanes or hard varnishes.. mahogany on the other hand is brittle..that is why of all the parts of a gibson.. neck is always in danger of cracks due to mahogany's brittleness. maple in my opinion is great for necks. but i dont know about whole maple body/neck.. it will be very heavy since maple are heavy lumbers

Maple is a great neckwood, bright, adds definition. I would never get a maple bodywood guitar (unless it was hollow/semi-hollow), it would be just high-end.

hey i was wondering about getting this guitar but i play mainly metal and progressive metal songs, so i was wondering how hard it is to change tuning with this guitar. I've heard it's like really hard to change from standard to c# standard because you have to do something with springs and what not.

I played mostly rock before, now metal and its not really that hard, choose what string thickness to stick with, (I prefer 10-52, because it fits both standard and drop D, ok a little sketchy with standard but still managable) so then you apply those strings, set the intonation right, if you play with standard and my thickness you may want to tighten up the tremolo real high, and when you go for drop whatever first loosen your strings up then loosen the tremolo spring then tune the guitar droped

@Falling7Rain if u constantly need to change tunings on your guitar, its recommended to avoid a tremolo (floating bridge) guitar. unless, for if u play on specific tunings, then u can for example buy 2 or more different guitars, each one for a different tuning. i'd personnaly go for a fixed bridge, a string-through-body, or vintage bridge guitar.
