I went to the ifixit website and they don't have anything regarding how to fix a kindle screen that has been cracked. this is a gen 3 kindle to be more specific. thanks for the help. hope you can answer this request.
I spilled water on the keyboard of my 15" MacBook Pro (the one with the silver keys), and now the keys are sticky and most of the lights underneath don't work anymore. Is this an easy fix it I can do myself? I'm afraid to mess with it because I'm not very handy at fixing things.
I am very handy and love to fix stuffs. Any information in that department is welcome.
There are a lot of background knowledge you need to know before you can fix stuff though, if you don't mind me saying that. e.g. how to fix a computer when disk crashed?
Very cool. I've used ifixit a few times in the past to help friends/family/etc save some money by giving me a few bucks (and/or a free meal, heh) instead of giving someone else an arm and a leg. These vids could come in handy for the more long distance people I can't really help personally. :D
That's just a great idea, I love it!!!!! Unfortunately I don't have an Iphone/pad or a xbox, but I'm sure I'll need one of your amazing videos one day. I love love love to fix broken stuff on my own (or is it "by myself"?? ah sry my English sucks... :D ) it's so much fun and super satisfying it it actually works!!! :))
Good job! I am fix-whatever guy in my job, where I wear many hats and work as an engineer as my main job, but all sorts of things need fixing in a small company from office machines, to sorting out software, installing new hard drives, repairing cameras, fixing toilets, and so forth. I will check out the web site as don't think I have been there before. It should prove handy in my work since something new to me to fix keeps coming up even after fixing stuff for a long time.
it's ridiculously expensive to send any defective device away to the repair shop. what's more painful that you have to call tech support, get mad because everyone else has the same idea. i've worked in a contact center and i don't like the grief passed around by understandably irate callers and frazzled, overburdened customer service people.
fix things yourself: get exercise for your brain and body, get the freedom of knowing YOU were an active force in making yourself happy.
i'd like to fix you myself, baby.

My family's Wii got dropped and now it doesn't work! I would love to see like a how-to diagnose what's wrong and how to fix for that. :)

Awesome! Love this idea. My pain in the rear household appliance that we keep buying and replacing, one a year or less is the dreaded vacuum.
