people are seriously retarded sometimes, Nadal has a semi- western grip it was even confirmed by fellow ATP players. The reasoning for his high follow isnt due to his grip, its just his up bringing. Even if you had a eastern grip you could still copy nadals extreme follow through and top spin. Top spin is created through how fast you swing up the back of the ball not determined by your grip. Next time you see a close up of Nadal just grab a racquet , form the semi grip and spread you fingers up

Agreed, his grip isn't really all that extreme. I'd say he holds it-at most- in a semi-western position. His backhand grip is more extreme, in my humble opinion.
