Saw this film as child, I enjoyed the idea of making friends in a bad situation. I did not fully understand the complexity of this story. I am glad this movie is online so I can revisit the wonderful story. I think the acting is some of the best and the fact that it is in black and white makes no difference.
I so love Horst Buchholz. He used to be hot!!
