Look up "Ad Block Plus" for Firefox. Download it. It works great.

It stops the "Before video" ads and the little "Pop ups" that play during video. I haven't seen either since I downloaded it. I can say, it allows you to "Take back your internet".

The only flaws:

Though some ad popup windows come up, it doesn't display the ad itself. And only one video site escapes it blocking the before video ad.
