after all that destruction of an explosion and tram crash only two main cast members died molly and ashley in real life this disaster could kill around 10 people. but its a great stunt
@jake6180 I thought that too.What a complete and utter cop out.They hashed it up over the months leading up to it saying it will be something to effect the street forever and kill off several main characters,as well as saying 'No one in the cast is safe'.But it was obvious Ashley and Molly were leaving so they took the easy route killing them.Why not have put Dev in the corner shop...PERFECT EXCUSE TO GET RID OF A USELESS TERRIBLY ACTED CHARACTER.Why not kill off Kirk,Norris redundant characters
@kickinoverya Do you know the real reason for the Tram crash episode? So they could move Coronation St set from Granada Studios in Quay St, Manchester to the new location within Salford Quays. Gave them the excuse to phase set changes, adjust bits of it, etc etc because they have such a tight filming turnaround. But whats really messed up, and this is just rumour, is that the actor who was driving the tram got abuse in real life for the crash! LMAO. Anyways, thought you might be interested :)
@freakstate Wow I never knew that.I always assumed it was an attempt to raise ratings and clear out the cast.This was an ideal opportunity to do so and yet only two characters died,i just don't get that.Ashley and molly,yet they could have killed off dev,eddie,kirk,jason,ciaran,sunita etc...they chickened out it would seem.
That is a very explosive tram, considering they're electric lol
