but if i remember correctly the only reason this package was passed in the first place was because no one had time to read it. and you of all people should know that whether the government intercedes with the economy or not, the economy will pull itself out. you and i both know that the economy will pick itself back up again after a while. And those loans will not have to be paid back because the government bought stock into the companies to keep them afloat, thats y the citizens own many corps.
o yes they do have to pay it back thats what a loan is they wont have to pay interst but they will have to pay back the citizens. its not like a normal loan so they wont be so harsh on the rules but in due time they will because as a loaner i would want my money back and as a manager of a company i wouldnt want my company to be in government control because then i wouldnt be able to do everythin i wanted

And companies like AIG will not have to pay back the loan because.... O they dont exist. we are now being told that AIG is now going to be AIU. and if everyone that receives money from the government is now on loan then i owe the gov. $1000 from my check last year.

Socialism has not worked well in some countries and regions and in others it does (like Angola, Libya, Namibia, Seychelles, Cuba, the Kerala region of India, Catalonian Spain, parts of Mexico, Argentina, etc.) It all depends on a variety of A LOT of factors.

in indiaiana every road you drive on is being repaved thanks to the stimulus. the problem is the current EPA director shut down 1 of only 2 factories that are lisenced to make highway paint. so none of our roads have strips. the contractors cant get paid until the job is done, and the jobs cant be finished until they get highway paint. i wonder how many contractors will go bankrupt waiting on paint?

but if i remember correctly the only reason this package was passed in the first place was because no one had time to read it. and you of all people should know that whether the government intercedes with the economy or not, the economy will pull itself out. you and i both know that the economy will pick itself back up again after a while. And those loans will not have to be paid back because the government bought stock into the companies to keep them afloat, thats y the citizens own many corps.

And companies like AIG will not have to pay back the loan because.... There have been two tax rebate checks this decade. Both times, most of the money was saved or used on debt, which are not stimulative to the economy. What do you propose to increase aggregate demand when consumption and investment have fallen along with net exports? The economy is down about 14% of GDP or 2 trillion. The only way to replace that loss is through government spending. If we do nothing, we face a global depression. Tax cuts don't work because people will not spend; governments will.

I like your strong words, Payne. I don't want another war, especially the "Satanic" Republic of Iran waiting for Israel to demolish itself. War costs a lot. I don't care if the Pubs say no, it happened the same way with Clinton's version. Clinton's plan actually paved way toward debt-free until Bush bushed it like it was nobody.
