What I never understood is why people spend thousands of bucks on their guitars and amps and then "record" them with an internal camera microphone, which in the end sounds more crappy than plugging a 100$ guitar into a laptop and then recording with freeware amp simulation

They're similar....but the cobra has less controls. THe sound...well, i've tested some rec but with 6L6, the cobra is setted stock with EL34....

the cobra woops a rectifiers ass. this guy didnt even click the switch up with when the switch is down it doesnt sound good.

i'm going to have to say NO to that. After much testing I went with a Roadster Dual Rectifier. When placing an OD infront of it the Rec KILLS the Cobra.

i think thats a load of crap because my friend has roadster and the cobra kills it. you have to play the cobra in person no video does it justice. ill do a video comparison and youll realize you shouldnt of went with a roadster

when i got the roadster i did try the cobra. it's a one trick pony first of all, second it's no where near tone wise as the Roadster, not even close. Can it have more gain? sure, but it doesn't have the kind of gain structure and sheer tone brutality the Dual Rec does. But to each their own i guess.
