The zoning in Kew Gardens and Rickmond Hill is precarious, at best. On 116th Street, a monstrosity is being built. On Curzon Road, several houses were destroyed, a building partially constructed; and there was a floor collapse in the new structure. It's almost too late. Kew Gdns is being chewed on from all direction.
Thank you for posting this video. My great aunt lived in the Shellball Apartments. I last visited her in April of 1964. Little did I know of the Kitty Genovese murder which happened one week before I visited Aunt Julie. I roamed around Kew Gardens, what a beautiful place it was, the drug store on Levitts Boulevard, the beauty salon. I can still in my memory the smell of the drug store when you opened the door. Thank you so much for posting this.
