This is BS. ... I am white , I am American.... I have had to go through more with police than most blacks in America. Especially the congresswoman sitting on stage. My brother was beaten at his own home by three police officers, and it took lots of prayers and several years to get justice. Whites have to go thru the same abuse that blacks do. And growing up in the south I have met MORE racists blacks than whites!!!! So what he says is not entirely true. We go thru the same struggles every day

Whites also get harassed by the police for no good reason. At age 19 I was arrested for resisting arrest (walking along a public road), but was never told what the initial charges were. My mom figured the pig just wanted to get me into his squad car & when I defied him (turned & walked away) his ego couldn't cope. If I were black, I would naturally assume that race had something to do with the incident, because it just didn't make sense. I've had other confrontations with power-drunk cops. >:(

A black man was murdered in his front lawn in California. He looked like a suspect that the cops were chasing so the cops approached him. He bent down to pick up a broom handle out of his front yard and they shot him dead. I'm using that example to say that a lot of people of color have a fear that police will use unnecessarily rough measures with them due to racial stereotyping. The fear is much greater than just getting a ticket.
