Yep, it's a it´s a paradiddle, wonderful and very clever, If you slow this beat right down and use he Hi Hat instead of a cowbell you will see that John bonham applied this same method fo construct "The Immigrant song"
This is like paradiddle ?!!!! or half paradiddle (my definition to this rif of Ian Paice) lol.
Sorry. Lot of hugs from yr brazilian friend. I like Deep Purple very much. You fool no one is the first song I heard in 1974 from the Album Burn.....This was all the best in that year dude. Bye
Sounds great drummer! Ian Paice rules! I've always loved Ian Paice over Bonham anyday. To this day I haven't found any other drummer who can fill better. Ian is my favorite drummer and always will be. All those classic albums : Machine Head, Burn, In Europe, Made in Japan.... Nuff said, Ian Paice kicks major ass.
@IanPaiceFan Hello Ian Paice Fan. I am Ian Paice Fan in Brazil. This is I call "half paradiddle" I am a brazilian drummer 52 yo. I like Deep Purple very much. Good definition you said as single paradiddle I like it too. Many hugs dude. By by.
Ill give a shot, I have only been playin off and on for 29 years but i'll try my best. Dude you rip. How about the intro to johnny blade? I always wanted to tackle that one. Keep posting thanks.
you should pair up with this guy jun626 that has a video somewhere here deep purple you fool no one, jajajaja it would be awesome to see you jam togheter!!! XD
It is the same Bass drum pattern as Immigrant Song. I think Paice was becoming more inspired by Bonham's playing around the time they recorded this song.
Excellent. I remember the first time I heard that track as a kid and thinking I have got to learn how to play that. Then sitting at the kit and having no idea what the hell he was doing. Still one of my top 10 albums of all time. Excellent version. Keep posting
Nice work! It's interesting to note that your technique appears much more efficient that Paicey's technique back in the 70s. However, he had to get his tubs to be heard above Blackmore and Lord, so that may play into Paicey's much more apparent 'full body' commitment to his grooves. Again, very nice!
It's always interesting to emulate great drummers. I saw the rat bat blue tribute as well. Very good drumguy and good technique. It can be seen in the use of drumfills and how you use the wrist with the sticks
not bad, not bad at all! you need to hook up with some of the other musicians on youtube and see if you can mix the various parts together.... be fun trying at least!

Thanks a lot my friend! And keep Rockin' for us!
