  • One second, m-my sub consciousness is talking to me again XD

  • wow! love that. to tell u the truth i only watched this for spock. i didnt know the band-aid thing. thanks!

  • WOW!!!

You REALLY put a LOT of work into this.

    Very good.

  • You posted the LYRICS. @- @ I will learn this full song =3=

Super impressive, by the way. I imagine you must have shot those scenes a million times. I watched it about as much. x3

  • Sorry to be so late in replying! I'm a professional seamstress/costumer and musician/ entertainer. So yeah, dressing up for Halloween when you dress up for a living just loses the cache somehow.

  • @RowanGolightly Mmmm.. nah, I don't buy it.

  • Btw - not quite clear just what the 'angel' finds so amusing about the 'devil'-- but it's nice to see a "good" character with a sense of humor, for once.

  • Impressive. *VERY* impressive.

...now - any more ideas for the girls and women...?

  • @StoryMing Well, I think most of these can be used by any gender :)

  • @Shyaporn True. But most of the characters they represent- except for the ballerina and fairy- are generally male. Not surprising, since you're a guy yourself, but still... it can be challenging to find an interesting female character to dress as... that doesn't involve tight, skimpy clothes, short skirts, and fishnet stockings...

  • @StoryMing Why would his subconscious give him an equal number of womens clothes?

  • @Ultimaniacx4 I never asked it to give an EQUAL number; I only wondered if it might come up with a few more for women.

  • @StoryMing Well again, the premise of the video is his subconscious taking to him. It's actually more weird for there to be ANY suggestions for girls costumes.

  • I rarely use the word, but this was truly epic. And it actually gave me some ideas for next year!

  • I dressed as a ruffley, Victorian lady with a sword cane and a dramatic cape on one weekend and a pirate with excessive feathers in my swashbuckling hat the other weekend. My boyfriend was Han Solo!

  • ZOMBIFY EVERYTHING!!!

  • Hologram from red Dwarf. I just found some shiny cardboard, cut out an H, applied directly to forehead. My kid was the only one that got it :P

  • This gets a thumbs up just for the Super Friends Samurai costume--but the rest of the video is great, too.

Maybe next year, another Halloween-themed video with an El Dorado costume? (What were that guy's powers again, besides Hispanic tokenism?)

  • I love this!!! I dressed up as Fawkes the phoenix from Harry Potter in a homemade costume.

  • I was Henchman 21 from The Venture Brothers

  • omg he's so sexy. <3

  • Haha, love this...

  • I dressed as the Tenth Doctor. Nobody got it...

  • @rayx3025 some kid dressed as the tenth doctor when I was out. I started geeking like hell!

  • @rayx3025 Try being the Eleventh! Go see my Facebook page ;)

  • My hubby and I made Odin and Valkyrie costumes- everything except my wings and my corset were modified or made! (Greaves x2, pauldrons, bracers, tunic, dress, cloak, feathered helm, wig to my knees) It was FUN!

  • @ferrous719 Did you bring him the souls of fallen warriors?

  • @Shyaporn And mead!!!

  • I made Gadget from Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers.

  • I'll be dressed as Anonymous, Evil God of the Internet!

  • @dayzimlich You just called Anonymous "evil." RUN!

  • This year, I'm going dressed as the Phantom of the Opera :D

  • 31 people were stationed at pearl harbour that day.

  • I went to multiple Halloween parties as The Todd from Scrubs this year. Super easy costume to make and it was a HUGE hit! Literally had my picture taken with everyone and had about 2-3 people from each gathering ask if they could borrow it for another party.

  • Mr. Shyaporn, sir. I hope to god you are reading this. Someone has to tell you that you just won Halloween this year.

  • @Ultimaniacx4 What did I win?

  • @Shyaporn A subscription and a fan XD

  • @Shyaporn 1000 free internets!

  • You rock! My hero of the day!

  • I got a pair of jnco jeans and BOOM! I'm a juggalo.

  • Quite good, mate, quite good.

    The Frankenfurter scared me though.

  • @darkminstrel Scared me a little, too.

  • Apollo Creed circa Rocky 4

  • WOW THIS IS AMAZING

  • I know he can sing "Look at me now" at Busta Rhyme's part .. LOL!

  • OMG THIS IS SO CATCHYYYY, make it stop.. make it stopppp...

So whether pirate, ninja, zombie, scientist, or Wolverine

To Have a Happy Hallow's you just have to dress for Halloween.

  • AH

    MAY

    ZEEN!

    :)

  • I love this.

  • This made me soooo happy!!!!! We need more people like you in the world!!! =D Happy Halloween 2011!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HAH! Wolverine!

  • what? no Doctor?

  • Agreed! This never gets old and always makes me smile! Thank you, Shyaporn!

  • This always amuses me! Never gets old!

  • 1:45 now i know his screen name is Shyaporn

  • Me and my ninja brothers find it insulting that people think we are from China or Japan.

It's a fact that all ninjas hail from Kansas.

  • I just found pure gold on Youtube. Thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • A "no" to Rocky Horror Picture Show?!!!!!

  • Still one of my all time fav youTube videos :)

  • how did you make that ninja costume

  • needed more pirate killing from the ninjas.

  • ..I am the very model of a modern Major-General,

I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral,

    or..

I've studied species turian, asari and batarian

I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology)

because I am an expert which I know is a tautology

  • the song sounds like the llama song lol

  • @uraveragejewbuddy No, the Vulcan salute has the thumb extended away from the hand. The Jewish symbol of blessing that Nimoy based it on has the thumb to the hand.

Don't try to out-nerd me... tsk, tsk, indeed.

  • @Shyaporn Actually, the Vulcan salute can have the thumb extended away from the hand or against the hand. They did it both ways in the show, without caring. When nerds pointed out the inconsistency, it was retconned so one is formal and one is informal. Tsk, tsk, yourself, sir.

  • @BrokenLookingGlass Retconning is for the weak!

  • This is awesome.

  • this video deserves best short film/ comedy or musical

  • Dude has great hair. Wonder what kinda shampoo he uses?

  • @washingtoninnm I use the tears of Jets fans...

  • @Shyaporn ooooooooooooooooooooo,,,,....dude is HARSH!!!

  • @washingtoninnm Mane'n Tail - obviously

  • You know what's funny? I actually did a last minute Avatar costume this year and remembered your bandaid-ear trick...and it worked! Thanks for the suggestion!

  • @bombygriz Glad it worked for you!

  • awesome? awesome. awesome!

  • You know, the other place these would fit nicely would be the whole "SNL Digital Video" thing ... and is it just me, or have they never gotten around to having a single Asian in the cast?

  • You and Jonathan Coulton should meet ... you even both live in NY. (Brought to mind by the chant of "BRAINZ" ... see the Re: Your Brains video by foellmi.)

  • okay - I can't be the only one who watches this over and over just to see Shya dressed up as Frankie... am I??

  • @moonlady3000 I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. :D

  • @moonlady3000 You are NOT alone ;)

  • Nice! You are the best, and i can’t believe you mad wolverine look so gay!!

  • where is this originally from? the melody, i mean...

  • @aveyowyns

I think it's from Gilbert and Sullivan.

  • Very nice!!!

  • you have way to many costume...lol

  • By next Halloween I should have this out of my head! Bravo sir, lyrically impeccable as always!!

  • Pirates of Penzance!

  • lol this reminds me of the perodic table elements song...

  • I believe you missed one very basic and simple costue. my favorite and alwys secondary choice if Plan A fails. THE VAMPIRE! From the classic Bela Lugosi Dracula to the more detailed Nosferatu. ANd all those costumes can also be. . .vampirized?! At least that's what I think you could call it.

  • after my tenth time watching this... I laughed really hard when I noticed you missed the stool in your pirate costume :O

  • greeks didn't have togas. thats a lot of costumes.

  • Brains........

  • Hilarious video, I'll make sure to watch this before every halloween from now on.!

  • Well last year i dressed up as a ww2 Us bommber pilot with a brown leather jacket, jeans, gray socks, a white shirt, a pair of swiming goggles and some of my dads old work boots. i didn't have a costume this year because i was working of my oct 30th and halloween videos but youtube went funny on me and wouldn't let me upload them.

  • Shy, this might be your best musical by far!

  • @gronti I'm borrowing your son for next year's video...

  • @Shyaporn Does this have to do with a choice between a ball and sword?

  • @Shyaporn um....

  • @Shyaporn Well, are you going to borrow his son or not?

  • Comment removed

  • that was fu´¨¨¨in funny xD xD 10/10

  • Wow that was really awesome! Kudos to you and your comedic craft.

  • I was dressed as myself and decided to keep that stuff on till next Halloween.

  • THAT was hilarious. But wow I bet your house was covered in costumes during the making of that video

  • I can't believe this vid has only 43000 views!

  • I think it would be fun to live in your head (please take in a totally non-creepy way).

  • I almost never comment on Youtube videos. I just watched your Godzilla and your A Model Halloween. You sir, are funny as hell. Thank you. You put a smile on my face. Looking forward to watching the rest of your vids.

  • @DIABLERIEE Thanks especially for commenting then!

  • That was awesome. Reminds me of why I subscribed to you years ago.

  • I got a peicce of paper taped it to my head a,drew a red circle and said i was japenese

  • cool shyaporn, I liked it, intelligent, innovative, and I really liked it when at the very end, you ran the short 2 second clip of knocking out Santa. Not that I am against Christmas, but as a God Fearning Christian, I really liked the fat man taking it in the chops. More about Jesus...ahhhh..yess...but very well done...thanks Gianni

  • holy crap the reboot musical. this made my day.

  • This is the best thing I've seen in a while! Good MMG parodies are few and far between, and this is a new favourite! Love it.

  • I did not dress up. Having candy duty, a mask or make up would have just made it harder to watch all the horror movies that came on. Next year.. think I'll be a zombie.

  • Ohh, this is just the epitome of AWESOME! Really. I was chuckling in the middle of class XD

I went to a Halloween doll meet as a witch - with my home-made broom. I also had a pirate, a fairy and a crossdresser with me (these were the dolls XD)

  • I put a dress on, purple pantyhoses, purple converse, combed my hair with pony tails and took a little teddy bear. 10 minutes=little girl.

And that was after spending two hours trying to achieve edward scissorhands, then betty boop, without any kind of success...

  • yes, my fight was set to Werewolf Women of the S.S. and it was Legendary!

  • And love the little Blues Clues dance. There is nothing better than Blues Clues.

  • Went as "my closet": clothes rack, shoe boxes, etc. I've seen a Halloween fanatic do three costumes in a day, but you've reached a whole 'nother level -- like the lady down the street with 60 cats. And I'm sure you are already planning for next year. Like a concert pianist, can't take any time off if you want to be at the top of your game. Bravo.

  • Why exactly aren't you on tv yet?

  • Wrapped myself in tin foil and called myself leftovers!

  • @Fheathers Nice. Had an ex who did that once, only she used clear plastic wrap ;)

  • @Shyaporn Kinky. :D

  • Seriously, why don't you have your own damned variety show?

  • @xDolphZigglerx Not enough variety...

  • This is brilliant! Well done :)

  • One of your best ever I think Shy.

  • did you wrote this song? :) anyway well done. long live the asian nonsense.

  • @deadWu The lyrics, yes. The music is by Sir Arthur Sullivan, of Gilbert and Sullivan fame, from the operetta "The Pirates of Penzance," written back in 1879.

  • @Shyaporn Hi Shy. Fantastic video! Made my wife and I laugh and laugh :) btw, did you find the music track online? Did you pay for it or was it free? We're looking for it ourselves without much success. If you did it yourself, would you be open to sharing it?

  • Entertainment. You're doin it right!

  • I dressed as Batwoman. Thanks for asking. :D

  • Really well done, man!

  • I'm going as a 1/4 Vulcan to explain my red hair and green eyes. Recessive alleles FTW! I'm having trouble posting my pic to your FB, though... :-/

  • @EmeraldSky33

    Never mind. It worked.

  • amazing job man! LOVE this one lmfao... as for my costume... i got a pot and wore it as a hat lmfao... can you get the reference? xD

  • @wuffiekun If you also had a blue cape and red longjohns, I'd say Forbush Man.

Or, you were just a pot head... ::rimshot::

  • I've seen this 5 times straight

  • @just17n8 On purpose?!?

  • @Shyaporn of course!... fucking catchy tune "and all of this can easily be zombified" bit is still stuck in my head.

  • NPH couldn't have done a better job. Awesome.

  • Rather than going as Devil in a blue dress, I dressed as the little known super hero Vi. Vi Agra...(Blue Clothes, Blue Wig, Name Tag.) Made home made business cards that read "Vi Agra. Superhero. Helping to cure ED one small blue pill at a time" Many laughs achieved. Hooray!

  • @CheshireTea Cards for the win. Nice.

  • I decided I would slick my hair back, dress in a suit, waistcoat, and tie, and go as Arthur from Inception. Easiest costume I've ever pulled off.

  • @SpencerDub Did you carry around a sign that read "Underworked Plot?"

  • AWESOME

  • Nice job!

  • I'm going to be anon, I have a black unitard and I am just going to lurk around in the shadows, popping out every once in a while with my differing opinion.

  • This is so good! Looks like a lot of work :| Thanks for the great video! (I went as a raven...)

  • I am Dr. Frankfurter this year, actually.

  • hey. save some talent for the rest of us, eh?

  • @Moloth But I'm STARVING!

  • @play3393 ಠ_ಠ

  • For maxxspeed from REDDIT,

    HI REDDIT!!

  • @rme1188. ಠ_ಠ

  • I dressed as a hippy.

  • For work I dressed up like Bellatrix LaStrange complete with Death Eater mask and robe. Last night I went as a very sexy Tinkerbell to an adult only party.

  • @athenenumphe I'm going to require pictures... for science.

  • I'm going as a sane-ass person, my costume is a t-shirt, a pair of jeans, egging some faggy trick-or-treaters, and playing the minecraft update

  • I went as Sub-Zero.

My roommates went as Scorpion and Johnny Cage.

We made our costumes out of vinyl and cardboard. Fuck yeah!

  • @Clinterus Cardboard costumes rock!

  • this should win an award of some kind. really.

  • I went out as Super Grover!

  • genius :P

  • So great! Thanks for making my Halloween.

  • I heart you! Yay!

I play dress up a lot on the other days of the year, so I think I'll skip Halloween.

  • @shyaporn I'm impressed of your knowledge of Tom Lehrer. :)

  • i originally wasnt going to dress up for halloween but you've inspired me shy.

this year i'll be dressing up as Bear Grylls. i'll wander around with some nasty food and speak about how awful it tastes to everyone i meet with a british accent.

  • I subscribed to you because of this video. Lmao. I like you. :)

  • This is great! Your videos always manage to turn a crappy day into a laugh. :)

Anyway, I'm dressing up as Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter. :)

  • Comment removed

  • I had to watch this multiple times because I couldn't stop laughing for long enough on the first view to see all the costumes! By the way, I'm going as the killer bunny from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, complete with sharp pointy teeth and lots of blood!
