The old fashion style leather one looks cooler I think since it has the old fashion look to it. What is the knife you had in the last slide of you little intro clip?
dose the Ontario SP2 knife come in more than one version?cause i both one and has 27 teeth on the saw,the gutter is barely define, and the coat finish is an orange peal texture.do they perform the same?i`m planing to get an other one with 28 teeth on the saw and a smooth coat finish,`think i`ll make a review to compare them+vs the MFH no named pilot knife that i hear they might be refurbished SP2 Ontario
@swarmbringer I just recieved my ebay ordered SP2 and it is the same as yours - looks like an orange peel coating, although it is with a smooth surface. Mine also comes with 29 saw teeth.

I have this knife. I modified the sheath with 550 cord. I broke off the D-ring and used the loop as a retainer for my 550 cord. The knife is VERY durable. If you'd like, I can send some pics and maybe do a review on how I modified the sheath. I will always keep this knife. It is currently attached to my pack. I would use this as my back up knife. My BK2 is my primary knife.
I would buy one now if it had the steel pommel like the old school AF survival blade. I don't like the lame non-sawing saw back either..In knives like this there is always something I don't like. Must we all become custom knife makers ?
Agree with you on this I have owned one for over 20 years never let me down. Just recently recommended it to a coworker for for a gift for his 16 year old son and Boy Scout Senior Patrol Leader.
I dig the new slow motion voice over. Interesting vid option. Would you prefer the old school air force survival knife to this one? Had the chance to get an sp10 for $20 and missed it. Seriously mean knife, kickin my self. Thanks for the vid keep up the great work. Aloha no.
Well the leather handled version was my first bush knife, honestly I never liked the thing. The handle loosened up after light batoning, the retension strap for the sheath allowed the blade to come out until the guard stopped it, and the guard caused major hot spots when choking up on the blade. It looks like they have improved which is good but personally I would stay away from the leather version. One thing about the leather version I do know is that it has a rat tail tang. Good tests Adam!
I like the leather handled version better...i think its a little bit more expensive though it has a flat bottom for hammering and a sharpening stone....This knife would be perfect for diving if it was stainless imo.
It's full tang

Hey that's a great value. Seems like the perfect knife to practice kydex sheath making with.
