seems we all like samus for the fact that though she appears to be about as girly as possibly without her suit, she's still more than capable of looking after herself. personally, i preferred the way Super Metroid pulled it off. there's barely any text to the game, yet you get a powerful sense of emotion from her. at the start, where ridley steals the hatchling that adopted her as a mother, to where she's hunting through the lava filled catacombs of Norfair to cleave him limb from limb.

The only part I though wasn't Samus? Was when she froze up in front of Ridley.. That was not Samus XD.

@ProjectArin Lets see.....Three year-old kid trying to befriend a giant Alien-Dragon. Her parents protect her and they die in the process. The kid watches that and is horrified. It's a nervous disorder, I can't remember what it is called. But it haunts you. They were showing how it affected and still affects her, to show she isn't just a bounty-hunting, merciless killing machine. It's like Bruce Wayne watching his parents die, and look how hardened he is as Batman. Samus is no different.
