at least we know the kit seems to hold up on a good bash!! ha ha. question: how is it for triggering ghost notes ? best to ya and your music....; )

  • @pdautg

    Hey thanks, man!

I must say its a great lil unit but the ghost notes suck ass.

The sensitivities aren't nearly as good as V-drums or even rubber pads for that matter... i veer away from 'em :P

  • paul i want one,,how much

  • @corybiro

Mikey bought it on Ebay for 7 bills ><

  • where the bass drops @? :)

  • Do those sounds come with the module or can you use yor own sounds?

  • @morbida

Comes with but you can upload em

  • Makes me want to set mine up like this and gig with it. :)

  • Can you trigger 9 samples from the spd-s itself, PLUS 1 more from the bass drum input? Or does the bass drum input trigger one of the pads (like the Alesis performance pad does it)

  • @dachhh

Ya man, the bass drum is an 'extra' pad.

So there's 9 pads you see there, plus the kick = 10

Plus you can split the kick drum pad input into TWO samples and the SPDS recognizes the 2 different triggers.

So now were up to 11 triggers, plus those 9 you see are all sensitive an the light and hard hits can be made into separate sounds. The sensitivity isn't that great tho so its not recommended.. But that could get ya up to 20 triggers.

You can also upload/create samples (10-15 secs) to jam

  • @WebsterA Do you split the 10th trigger using a 1/4 cable splitter or something? That sounds amazing haha

  • @winterSTU

    Thanks dude :)

You can do that, but it wasn't needed in this case.

  • Hahaha dude that's pretty sick, nice job

  • cool shhh.... real creative way to use the spds

  • MESHUGGAH :DD

  • DUDE!!! That's badass!! I want one!

  • just saw your vid there, recently got an spd-s myself and was wondering what foot pedal your using for it, trigger release, optional pads etc. CHEERS

  • Yamaha KP65 at $70.00 every where do the job at low price.

  • omg! that was sick man! you need a drumset! I feel soo bad for you. haa

  • That was awesome dude!

  • Thanks man!

  • how do you have it connected the spd-s ,the background music where comes it from ?

are there food pedals with the spd-d and drum sticks

  • Hey

My buddy runs it thru a Presonus Firebox.

The pedals are from Roland td-9s.

Sticks? Well if you can afford a spd-s, you can afford sticks. I doubt they came with any. :P

  • Killer!!!! Good shit dude!

  • One of my favs

  • Holy crap its not out of sync! :)
