Ok so i am finishing up the basics in my home theater (50 inch screen, surround sound, ps3 etc.) But now i would like to make it a bit more awesome. So if i want to add an intro like this one, do i have to run movies on my pc? Or can i make an intro like this before a dvd? I just turned 16 and i'm quite new to home theaters so i need some help :) thanks
Man.. I wanted to use this at UNC Charlotte in my theater, but I've been told it's copyrighted material? I guess that would make sense because of all the different clips.
Hi. I am in the works of building a home theater and I thought you did an awesome job at making this trailer. I was wondering if I could use this for my theater too? If you want me to, I can add your channel name to the end of the video.
Yes - I run movies on a PC so this (and Dolby True HD, DTS Master Audio and THX logos run between this and the movie itself). The video is made in Sony Vegas Pro 9 from various HD movies, clips and intros. It is mixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 but Youtube sadly does not support it.
Many have requested copies or even custom copies for purchase but I'm afraid I dont have the time... Use keepvid.com and feel free to download and use it as is though! :)
All in all 9.5 out of 10, I would throw in some older stuff with the newer, back to 40's, 50's and 60's, famous lines and such....but thats all preference, Great Work!!
@topher0002 Yeah I would've thrown in some famous lines: "I'l be back!", "Go ahead, make my day!", "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!", "May the Force be with you!", among others.
With that said, youve done a great job with the movie stuff, the back to the future song choice is awesome. I would however leave out the 1000 watts of sound and such....technology is cool but you dont need to brag to your audience. They know what they hear and see, just let them enjoy it.
I think the no talking, no cell phones, etc stuff takes away from the rest of the video, I want to be put in the "movie mood" and be excited to watch what might already be a classic or may someday become one.
Thats an awesome awesome job man, Im finishing out my basement now and putting in a dedicated theater room and Im going to be making one of these....you asked for contructive criticism though so heres my 2 cents:

GREAT!!!
this is JUST what i'm looking to add to my library.
does that intro come on first automatically,
then the movies start?
do you mind telling us how we can do something like that?
Please post.
