  • I know without seeing the movie that:

    1. It has the Wilhelm scream.

    2. R2-D2 has a cameo as a piece of debris.

  • Awesome!

  • the train sequence was intense, how long did that scene take start to finish?

  • @SpiceyTaco101 Thanks for your interest. The train sequence, while supervised by ILM, was produced by one of our VFX partners on the film: Pixomondo. I'll try to track down a time estimate for you...

  • As a die-hard war movie buff I cannot wait to see this movie. I only hope it gets played in our new huge local theater as I want to hear and watch it "Loud & Proud!!!"

  • True fighters who fought for black people not against

  • This is what we was ..men who didnt kill each other...we protected each other

  • Wow awesome :D Hope you make a film with Pixar :)

  • this is gonna be the best film ever!!!!

  • awsome!

  • I like the soundtrack a lot...who's doing it?

  • you guys uploading and responding to comments just made you the best company ever, even better then you were before as if that was possible :)

  • Looking at the aerial battles make me think that Red Tails is the movie that Howard Hughes would like to have done.

  • Nice trailer, , and the FXs are great too!

I like stories about honor and courage.

    What is the music?

  • This looks so awesome! George Lucas does it again!

  • How many TB of RAM do you use to simulate these fluids?

  • I always hope they do a remake of the battle of Britain now they got the Tech to make large aerial dogfights

  • Finally and all out battle WW2 movie. Its been a while for movie with great flight scenes, well done guys

  • Brothers I LOVE AMERICAN TORNOU-ME AMERICAN PILOT

  • ah, i love those kind of movies!

  • I salute you, ILM.

  • No other Studio in the world equals the contribution of ILM in the world of VFX. If it was not for movies like Abyss, T2 and among other Jurassic Park, the VFX industry would have never reached the level of perfection they have acquired today.

  • As expected from ILM. Marvelous! Fantastic! Wonderful! Speechless!

  • That doesn't even look like CG. Incredible.

  • @redisforever007 Lol the whole time I was watching the movie I didn't notice it was CG, it looked so real.

  • very nice!! Great job

  • Nice VFX & cinematography...

  • Looks good. :)

  • I wonder if George Lucas ever looks at new films like this and gets angry that such amazing visuals were impossible at the time of the first three Star Wars'..

  • How long do renders like the one at 0:30 take?

  • @BlueZoneMX The renders are fairly quick, the fire and smoke is being simulated using our Plume GPU software.

  • @ILMVisualFX Of course, That's with a huge render farm that us normal people can't get...

  • @CyberKineticFilms Well... We are in the business of making movies...

  • @ILMVisualFX Does you guys ever consider renting out the farm or using it as a cloud render service when your not using it, or is it nearly always in use.

  • @PhotoShopChannel It is in use 24/7/365.

  • Looks fantastic! Excellent VFX!

  • Awesome! These incredible FX shots remind me of the equally amazing ones from Pearl Harbor.

  • Looks awesome.

  • Looking forward to it.

  • Seems interesting.

  • exellent vfx!! :D
